The use of Dave Jones as a human shield in this seems like a clever move... Think i'll get myself there. Can't imagine I'm going to hear anything I couldn't read on his twitter feed though

Friday 3rd February. Same date as the ticket bundle has to be bought by. Anything happening the next working day?

Coincidence? I imagine the cheaper tickets are to try and drum up extra support for the start of Jones tenure. Considering the 1st game in Feb is on the 5th then the payment deadline on the 4th makes perfect sense.

We were saying on Saturday that it would be stupid not to put some sort of ticket offer on for Jones for a few home games. I'd have discounted each match though not done it in a bundle, I'm not sure how many floating fans will fork out £45 and unless you can make all three it's actually costing you £5 more than going to 2 games. A straightforward £10 and £5 for concessions makes more sense for at least the Yeovil game and what get a much better take up than this.

Talking to a few people on Saturday and hearing a bit from people who have dealt with and know the chairman a lot is clearly going on at the club at minute behind the scenes that we don't know about I don't really support the idea that we are trying to cobble together £106,000 in two weeks to stop us being wound up in the high court. It makes no sense. We know even if some money at some point in the last few months has disappeared out of the club in the last few weeks we have taken out one loan and appear to have taken money from another party who's ex director appears to have become involved in the club at board level. So not settling this tax bill and being on the verge of extinction just doesn't add up, I'm sorry.

We don't know what the long term future holds but I don't personally think the club is in any immediate financial difficulty (we might have been at some point over the last few months) . Nothing that has happened in the last week suggests that. That might come down the line obviously and I still don't think it will end well but that is purely gut feeling.

As of this morning the WUP is still live so £106k is still owed. Thats not conjecture, thats based on me running an Experian report at 10am today. I expect it to be paid before the deadline though.

Ok, rephrase; the debt is not paid off and the WUP is still live. Any part payment is not shown.

As for stirring shit constantly, it wasn't me that has run up the debts.

Could that £100K have related to earlier orders?

We are all fully aware of the apparent issues. They've been well documented. We don't need it forced down our throats twice daily unless there's something new.

I think it's good that we have people who dig and try to find things, however I don't think it's good for anyone when claims are made and things are being twisted when they only know a small part of the story.

indeed it is and when they find out something new or news worthy them awesome, shout it from the rooftops.

Its hearing the same old stuff twice daily about something we found out a month ago that's starting to get tiresome

I expect there to be a lot of demand for tickets. The room only holds about 80 people so I don't see a problem in charging £10 and raising a bit more money for the club ( even if it is to pay off the taxman as some suggest). Fans have been calling for this and the club have responded. It is up to individuals whether they choose to attend or not. The so called STE will have as much chance of getting a ticket as any one else.

It's a fans talk in involving the chairman.

Where did you want it to be? Talk ins that I've been to in the past have always been in small venues like upstairs in the corner flag because you are going to struggle to get order in a large venue or even here what is being asked from the floor. Limited capacity? Everywhere has a limited capacity.

I doubt questions will vetted so if you attended and asked those questions you could have surely?

It's seems a bit odd to go on about having a fans forum then as soon as is organised say you aren't attending.

I seriously expect Gary to dodge awkward questions in person just as he does on Twitter. Who'd be surprised if something 'came up' closer to the time and meant he couldn't attend?

Like with all of this only time will tell.

Maybe things might be a bit clearer by then regarding what is going at the club because one things for certain plenty has been going on in the last few months.

Q&A sessions are the sort of things where the right questions are never asked and right answers never given. They're just jibbe jabber.
It may arouse and excite the fundamentalists, but they're either monopolised by loyal citizens of the state of Arslikhan or gobsbshites banging away with the same repetitive whinge even after the meeting is over and lights turned off.
£10 to be part of a recreation of Bedlam....? No thanks.
I'll judge it by results on the pitch.

Plenty been going on, which probably has helped to gloss over the fact that the transfer window is a week away from closing and we haven't done a great deal. I'm not unduly concerned about the two that have left and happy enough with the left back that has come in, but we are still a bit thin on the ground in terms of quality in a couple of positions. Hopefully that will be addressed in the next week.

I don't think we should get too carried away though by one result, especially as half the forum were banging on about us being relegation fodder a week ago. Good as Saturday was, will be interesting to see if we can string some results together. The sooner we can put some clear distance between us and the bottom two or three the better, starting with a big game Saturday.

While I've never really thought we would go down, there's always been this nagging worry that there are some nasty fixtures at the back end of the season. I think we have played all of the bottom five at home already, but still have to play four of the top 5 at The Vic. Would therefore be nice to see us picking up a couple of wins on our travels, while putting Crewe and Yeovil to the sword at home .

Agree Chip but let's not forget when we were 6 games unbeaten (or was it 5?) when Thomas was tearing it up. Particular highlight the away game at Grimsby.

If we keep hold of him and he returns to anything like the form he was in, we'll start winning more games than we'll lose in my opinion.

At the end of Higgie's reign though I had lost the will to care whereas now, 3 points and a new manager is a bloody good feeling. Can't help but hope for an unbeaten run that I think we're just a couple of players short of.

Maybe he sold the players to facilitate the wage Jones and his coaching staff demanded? I imagine Nsaila was on a wedge. All speculation obviously, but I take your point.

At the end of the day, a lot of thick people follow Pools and will think the sun shines out of Coxall's arse until the club goes bust and we're stuck with no football team to support. It would not surprise me one bit if we sign no one else and sell Thomas on the final day of the transfer window.

If we make it to the end of the season with a club to support; all debts paid; relegation staved off and hopefully a few home wins, then i'll be more than happy.

Aye. I am getting pretty sick of being the Football League's whipping boys though. So many years we have been shit at football, messing about in relegation fights in this pretty god awful division.

I reckon Dave Jones will have a solid transfer policy though so would probably back him to sort it out next summer.

Concurring with Mr Fireball. There will be very very few people intending to take in three consecutive matches, including a night match, in February who don't have a season ticket already. It's a false offer to get a headline or two.

I got one, rang up at 9am Tuesday, eventually got through to reception after several tries and a pleasant young lady took my number and rang back at 11.30. Got ticket post out for a £1 extra, came 1st class this morning.

Thinking of some questions to ask Dave Jones-football related ones !

This 'January announcement'.. Did Coxall actually say that this was a thing?

I thought it was just something someone made up in December and have been running with it ever since?
