 Post subject: Assistant Managers

So if Sam Collins made these changes you'd of though he'd of talked about them with Hignett.

Did Hignett just not listen! Did Collins not suggest the changes! What's the point of having an assistant manager.

Well (and I'm not trying to stir up trouble here just what I know), Sam under a previous manager was proposing selections and certain players in certain positions.....then when he took over as caretaker when said manager lost his job seemed to do the opposite of what he had been proposing to the previous manager

Collins was only acting first team coach after Fleming left and Hignett spoke several times about getting in a permanent replacement for Fleming. There's no reason to suppose that he was interested in Collins' ideas about team selection.

Hignett made the wrong choice in Fleming who bailed out at the first opportunity.
He appointed him because he was his mate, no experience whatsoever ever in the lower leagues and considering he was a defender did nought, end off

Just to be naughty, Fleming was a player coach at Crook Town in NL2. That must count as some lower league experience!
