An Italian friend of mine, a bar manager who supports Inter, when he talks about Pools (as I have educated him to do) always calls us "we".

'We're playing Stevenage today right? It's about time we won one don't you think? Oh really, we've got a new manager?"

Go Roberto!

Always fancied going to watch Inter. I think it dates back to the days of Gazzetta Italia on C4 when Real Ronaldo played for them.

They had loads of exotic names at a time they were throwing money at players rather than match officials but for some reason games seemed pretty boring. I watched Torino vs AC Milan recently and aside from Joe Hart there weren't many big name players but the footy was far easier on the eye than I remember watching years ago.

Always liked inter aswell. Baggio, recoba, vieri, real Ronaldo, zamorano.

90s Italian footy on channel 4 was unreal.

I was hugely disappointed with Italian footy. I used to watch the footy every Sunday afternoon with my grandad, either on ITV or BBC1. Proper 3pm kick off. This was when Liverpool were in their prime, proper attacking football, backed up by teams like Forest and Spurs, and even Man Utd. You were pretty much guaranteed goals and incident in every game, unless Coventry City were on, and it would finish 0-0 usually.

The Murdoch took it all away from us, so we were excited by the prospect of seeing all those stars in the Italian league. It was shite to us. Absolutely tedious catennacio, cynical dirty tactics, players rolling around like fannies after the slightest touch etc (I know this is the norm now but back then it hadn't infiltrated the game over here). After a couple of weeks we gave up on it.

Mill House sears, so the bairn can get a decent view. How about you? Fancy meeting up for a pint next time I'm up? Usually go in the Mill House pub before the game. Don't bring any sausages though.

Totally agree. Looked forward to it, then discovered it was dull. Not just full but life sappingly full and gave up trying to watch it.
