Good signing, not a star though. Got to love hyperbole!

Looks a good addition, got a fair bit of first team experience, and provides competition for the inconsistent Jake Carroll.

That's a very kind way of saying Carroll is utter shite mind

He's been responsible, at least partly anyway, for a lot of goals we've conceded recently. He gets beaten all too often and doesn't offer much going forward. He has had good spells in the past but surely everyone in the team has to justify their place and until now Carroll has been fortunate there's no ready alternative.

Let's be fair, neither of our full backs have made a tackle or stopped a cross since the end of World War 2.

If he's a similar standard to the last player we signed from Fulham, I'll be very happy !
Also good that he's not phased by coming to 'Artlepool from The Smoke. Perhaps Donnelly's put in a good word?

Maybe he's been promised first dibs on the new houses.

That tackle to end WW2 was hell of an effort though.

Humphreys was entering his 83rd season by then.

Sounds like a decent addition to the squad.

Hopefully this summer the club ends the policy of offering pay cuts to the players who arent good enough.
Just fucken bin them.
If Rochdale n Fleetwood can put squads together to challenge for the Championship then surely its not asking to much for us to make a play-off challenge in league two.

Anyone else think this means Carroll will be sold? Heard rumours he was going in January and now we have signed Kavanagh, this seems to back this theory up. Especially with it being for the rest of the season, it might free up some wages?

I would imagine that is a given.

That takes the Hartlepool Irish to 5.

What are those fellas from the Drumaville Consortium up to these days? Sure Niall Quinn gets on great with Jeff Stelling.

Now the left back position has been sorted we just need to sort out the other two most important positions.
