PostPosted: Sat Jan 07, 2017 1:42 pm
I'm having an operation on my left eye this Monday!!!! sadx
Basically I have small holes at the back of my eye and so what they are going to do is freeze the back of my eye and then the scarring will close the holes!!!!
If I don't get it done my retina can become detached!!!! sadx
As I have a phobia about eyes I'm not looking forward to this at all!!!! sadx

Anyone else had this procedure???? sctatchinghead

No, but I've had cataract surgery. I think everyone feels like you about eye surgery, but it's totally painless. Are you going to Sunderland Eye Infirmary ?

Good luck Mr Mutley. My late mam used to have to get one of her eyes done every few years.

Mr Bishop, don't get wrong or take it the wrong way, but the use of the word 'late' to someone going in for a procedure can be a bit ..... er, disconcerting.

I can think of more appetising things to add relish to.

Good point well put Mr Snowy! I didn't mean it like that, I mean't a routine operation on her eye, it wandered. Straight in and out, the operation not the eye. Which technically was straight after the operation. Anyways I'm panicking now as no offence was meant. Apologies Mr Mutley, it was meant to be a positive/reassuring post. Good luck for the op all will be fine.

Calm down mate, it was all in good humour, you intended no offence but it made me smile.

Well it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but would hate have it done again like!!!!
Now the anaesthetic has wore off it feels like I've still got needles in my eye!!!!
I must say though the worse part was having 3 trainees in there and the surgeon telling them exactly what he was doing!!!! sadx

Btw....Chip were you in Sunderland today....sure I saw you from a distance with my 1 good eye!!!!

Mr Mutley, glad it went fine, but if the surgeon pulled your pants down to show the trainees, then you should report it to an adult!!!!!

The tea they give you after the operation is horrible isn't it? Really really disgusting. Didn't like to mention it before, when you were already worried enough :)

Glad for you it was all a success tho.
