Heading to Shrewsbury according to Loughlin on twitter. Guessing they are preparing for the drop, he has done nothing to convince me he is capable of playing league one.

I imagine we are paying him decent wages. Nothing other than a mistake waiting to happen. Get adam jackson on loan for the rest of the season and we are laughing.

Not sorry to see him go, a car crash of a defender who you can never be sure won't cost a goal

I'd be concerned, seen as club is rumoured to have potential money problems and first day of transfer window, a player who had played quite a lot has left.

Hope we are signing people but I'm doubtful

Any idea how much we've been paid for him?

I'm,not sad to see him go, put in some really good performances but at times his frailties were Hartleyesque at best.

It could been seen as acting quickly to save our season also.

Been confirmed by GC on twitter he's leaving, fee of 25K been touted. Apparently Toto does'nt want to play here, maybe thats why he loved the odd redcard.

I'm actually shocked in a POK stylee that someone wanted to buy him. For like, money and everything.

Has all the physical attributes needed to make it.

Maybe not the brightest or just prone to lapses of concentration/rushes of blood etc but I reckon that could be worked on.

Never seen a defender put in as many blocks as he did.

Not like we don't have an abundance of center backs and if he ain't happy then a good move alround.

My very good mate is a Shrewsbury fan and I've told him their gaffer will need significant experience in both turd polishing and silk purse production from swine lugs

Rremember early in the season watching I think it was the Crawley game, and I thought he looked like an excellent player. But since then he's looked very much like an accident waiting to happen.

I'd rather have a consistent defender, a Jackson or a Mirfin type would make a huge difference.

I don't think any of our centre backs have covered themselves in glory and still think there is a decent player in there. If we sold/released every player who has had a couple of poor games we wouldn't have any left. Playing games in a settled team breeds confidence.

You know Jackson is at Barnsley and started against Birmingham, we have no chance of signing him on loan!

Even even the numerous young CBs we signed can't be as unconvincing as he was. He was big, strong and utterly shite.

I'm greatly relieved. He became more erratic and unpredictable as the season wore on.... You were waiting for an inevitable incident or two every time he played.

Apparently didn't want to be here but started our last game.

Might be reading into a bit too much but you don't play someone who doesn't want to be here regardless of situation

We were paying his wages and I would expect him to be professional, so yes I would expect him to play.

I'm expecting a comparable signing. Hignett will have had to lose one wage to bring in another.

Yes. Why wouldn't he? He only played him the other night because he had to.

So chairman and others on this thread said he didn't want to be here. I wonder why not (?)

No loss at all, as long as someone is lined up to replace him.

I'm 100% looking to take over Pools. I have no money to and see no possibility of ever having the money to. But I'm looking 100% towards it.

Which street would that be, the one Bates lives in?

Or has he been seen in Hartlepool with a shiner? Doubt if the bruising will have gone down by tomorrow.

It sounds like Amond is on his way to Shrewsbury.
But the talk of Rob Jones going to Chelsea for 8.37 million should just be a rumour!

Or was that £8.37 to Pontefract Dynamoes!

Shrewsbury is colder than Hartlepool, better tell the southern media.
