If we lose tomorrow night, against a piss poor Morecambe side out-of-form and with desperate financial troubles at the club, then we are indeed, fucked.

We will win 1-0.

Allesandra to score, crowd will be sub-3000. Can't blame em.

I can see the reasoning behind moving it from New Year Eve. Loads of people have prior commitments and at the time I'd imagine the current depressing state the club is in wasn't envisaged. We get less through the gate for night games generally but I suppose no kids are at school the day after and not many are at work the day after. Mind its not really been mentioned but how piss poor was the crowd on Boxing Day? Less than 3,800? That is seriously worrying, so including the Blackpool fans you are looking at just 800 paying customers which is hardly going to keep the Wolves at bay. In fairness I expected more from Blackpool as well but I also expected more than 500 home fans walking up. Is the lack of cash turnstiles putting people off? Is it the price, my brother in law was on about going with his missus and the bairn but when they were round ours on Christmas Day but seemed a bit put off when I said it would set him back 50 notes. Hey it could be that it was freezing and that we're totally shit, again.

I'm not sure I've looked forward to a Pools game less than I am tomorrow, I was quite encouraged by the hard frost that's been kicking about for two days and the prospect of us getting out of going, fat chance looking at (as is my wont ) the forecast loads milder by the look of things.

Didn't go on Boxing Day, had the grandkids down for the day, it wasn't a difficult choice to make. But I know season ticket holders who've went for years going absent from their seats over the past month. It's just a weird season.

Same here, as we always go out for a meal the night before new years eve, as we both hate new years eve, so stay in.

2989.
Will decide later in the day wether to attend the game.
Normally its a definate yes but questioning meself Pools in the cold or watch some entertaining darts.
One thing that is definate will not be renewing ST next season.
They had thousands out of me the last 41 years.

Pools 1- Morecambe 0. Carson, 90th minute.

I'm going. I was thinking I should stay away because I might be the jinx - nearly every time I go we get beat. Then I remembered, that's everyone's experience...

Feel pretty much the same.

Two of us with STIs and two walk ups have been thinking about driving over, but..........................

A local pub is calling my name, suggesting an afternoon drinks session.................

Good craic over a few too many beers OR..................

Pools 0 Morecambe 1

Awful game, 2 poor teams

2,819

And, again, Timlins won't be sponsoring the 4th Official.

For the first time in close on thirty years.........................I can't be arsed........................got in from a decent afternoon slurp...................time for a sober-up shower and out we go....................

Good luck and best wishes to those who are better folk than I - and I know that I'll have a guilty conscience in the morning (when I pick up the paper and read Nickerless writing about the 3-0 home win).

Good craic over a few too many beers OR..................

Well, first time in thirty years or so...............can't be arsed................quick sober up shower and back out. Aye, I'll have a guilty conscience in the morning - but, good luck and all the best to those who go to suffer...........

I don't understand why Deverdics is even a player. He's like an outfield ALB, you can see him but the ball never goes to him and he never does anything.

I usually do 120 miles round trip per home game. thought I'd give it a miss tonight in view of the dodgy weather over the last few nights.

Half time report

2 good goals partic Featherstone with great through ball from Woods. Carbon copy pen for handball like last game but never any doubt Paynter would score.

They missed a sitter that hit underside of bar. Not 3 goals better but will take it.

Paynter, Armond, Woods, Featherstone playing well.

Had a change of heart and decided to go at 7:20pm.
First 30 mins we looked good and were in total control against a really poor team.Thought this could be five or six if we keep attacking.
In the end just releaved to get the 3 pts and a bonus Cheltenham got beat.

Same here, but went under pressure from one of my sons who'd travelled down for the game and enjoyed the first half in bits. But the second half was the same old tosh after Hignett's tinkering.
The icing on the tombstone was leaving a minute from the end of injury time to jump into the daughters car and hear the result as 3-2 !

If he doesn't get the tat done he could be made to change his user name to Knob nose, unless someone has a better suggestion.
After all he did make his promise in true monkey chest beating fashion under no duress. An open and shut case.

I think the 3 at the back with Bates back for Toto is our best bet defensively.
Donnelly suits it there and Harrison looks much better at the left end of the 3.

Plus Amond and Paynter worked quite well too so Higgy may have stumbled on his best team.

Would like to see Laurent in the side as I think he brings good energy but overall I am cautiously encouraged.

Now if we could play well for more than 30 mins a game we'd be half decent

Harrison had a decent game last night on the right of the three. Laurent was totally tosh when he came on as was Allesandra. Deverdics isn't as good as he thinks he is, nice to see him try to bring it down but aside from his crosses and freekicks not sure what he brings to the team.
Woods assist for Featherstone goal was top class as was the run.
