Turkey leftovers split into two batches and frozen - similarly, boiled the bones yesterday to make stock - 2 batches made - ready for Turkey soup in Jan / Feb time. Leftover Gammon is for tea tomorrow - with some pickles.

I have turkey on toast for breakfast every day between xmas and new year, love it.

Was in Iceland on Sat lunchtime and they had fresh crowns half price, stuck one in the freezer for Easter

Peeps go on about dry turkey, god is the food the devil is the cook, mine are always moist :ugeek:

Do you seduce them over the CB airwaves before cooking them?

Thought you'd forgot to log back in then, well recovered.

So Santa's warm milk is what makes the turkeys moist? I feel a bit ill.

Turkey is guano. American guano at that.

Goose is proper traditional British. Or anything other than that dry, chewy, bland rubbish.

We had a big bastad gammon again this year, put the remains in a stir fry on Boxing Day, was delicious.

Zippy knows nowt about cooking so i`ll take over, cooking turkey en papillote really helps seal in the moistness, plenty of butter and bacon streaks for fat and then remove the meat to brown for the last half hour and then rest for 30 minutes, moist and tender

Use the warm milk to make bread sauce :-D
