Back in the day, 2004/05. There was a board called Monkeyhangers 2004. A thread developed which became known as the Brains faggots thread. It started with everyone posting alternative names for homosexuals and the webmistress got upset.

After around 50 posts the 'Godfather' as the webmistress was known stated that if there was another single post along those lines she would close down the board. Mutley then posted a thread asking everyone what their favourite food was and offering his personal choice as faggots. Most were immediately banned and the board closed shortly afterwards. We were termed 'The outcasts' and the outcasts bunker was born that same day.

Eventually it evolved into the Poolie Bunker.

It was all Mutley's fault as usual.

Cant believe you lot didnt know the history behind the bunker.

It was called the outcasts bunker for quite a while.

And the welcoming term of fuck off was born at the same time.

And that was story in itself.

The outcasts werent that many at the start. Lots of folk still preferred rivals and there was also the hangam arms. Remember that?

Anyway. The bunker was open to read but because we felt isolated due to our inane humour......only an admin could approve new posters. But everyone was given a chance.

So if we didn't know you the first reply you got was fuck off.

If your response was deemed a good one you were allowed full access.

If you bit you werent.

Simple as that.

But it stuck for years.

The bunker stood out from the other boards at the time because of the humour and always a more lively board. Plenty of heated inputs and piss taking....just like family life.
Some posters drove you mad and some were just mad, some you started off disliking and then ended liking and best of all, some made you laugh... And it wasn't all about football.

To be honest that's why I've always been against banning people like Sussex or more recently Mr Butt. We started as a group of banned posters.

But surely that just means more people should be banned.....it stimulates them to get off their arses and create their own board.

Monkeybutt's board would only have two posters and they'd both share the same laptop.
Unless of course PJ felt the need to argue with him/them but I suspect that relationship is a one way street.

Of all the posters over the years the two that stand out for me are definitely POK and Mutley - equal first.
A special mention must go to Tree with Disorder for the Escape Goat holiday snaps too.

I too miss Sam POK

I regret that n would love the lad back on here.

Only he could come on the board and complain because his train was late.... then complain even more because someone had been inconsiderate enough to commit suicide on the track and cause all the disruption.
I never knew if he was a piss take or lead a sheltered life.
