I'm completely convinced that we'll get another thrashing but I'm so bad at predictions that probably means that we'll sneak a point with a dogged defensive performance.

1-1

Our goal is an og coming from our only corner.

Stats suggest that Portsmouth are actually Barcelona.

Having just seen the team and Amond being on the bench in favour of Rhys Oates I'm going for an 8-0 loss.

He's seriously not helping himself.

We're doing better than I expected! Funny how this place is quieter when we're not losing.

We didnt expect to be out of our own half though to be fair. Always was going to be backs to the wall.

According to he stars we've had more of the ball and restricted them to one shot on target and no corners. It sounds a decent away performance so far, but we were decent for 45 minutes last week....

Holding out well... sounds like the home fans are concentrating more on the officials than their own team. Come on pools!

10 minutes of stoppage time had... finally finished!

Great result that, was massively sceptical before the game, happy to have been proved wrong.

Start of a winning run, Morecombe and Accrington should be winnable and Blackpool unpredictable.

Not a single shot on target but a much needed clean sheet and point.

The way we have been set up all season suits us away from home. Especially against some of the better teams who will come at us more. We rarely get results where we play teams with large crowds so a point at pompey is nothing to be sniffed at. Has collins had an input in the defensive set up today?

Any clean sheet is welcome but today we have got stuck in and this clean sheet is exceptional. Well done to the lads. Lets keep it going and go on a run and then, hopefully, get two or three additions in January.
Brilliant point. clappp

According to the Poolsworld commentary, Collins was on the touchline barking out orders. So maybe he has had a positive input. Hope so.

Thats all fans ask for 100 % commitment and some hartlepool fight. Their is no reason why this team with a few additions cant be up in and around mid table to play offs.

Maybe this squad does have some fight in it after all. Maybe Toto being away from the team is a positive, however credit to them all today. Brilliant point when an embarrassing drubbing was predicted. IF we can follow this up positively at home over the next two games then maybe we'll be ok. Dead chuffed with that.

To be fair he's a goal poacher who has rarely been given any opportunity to play in a front and last week he was playing right midfield. If is going to play one up front I'd pick Paynter ahead of him.
