Lets just say that you were at work, but were told a week ago that you wouldnt be paid early at christmas, like you normally are, and infact you may have to wait until the new year.

Would you feel like giving 100%?

So how would I pay for Christmas presents and the like? I can imagine that my family would be upset if I came home and told them Christmas was cancelled.

Wouldn't be a problem as I had known that Christmas would be on 25th December the same as every other year and would have planned accordingly.

Just this month or we talking previous months? I know I wouldn't give 100% if my wages went in late.

It's not late tho is it. It's just not early. Oh and it wouldn't affect me personally as all my Christmas stuff is sorted without the need to use December's pay.

Might be tough for others who couldn't pay ahead like, i'm sure they'd be pissed off, but it wouldn't be professional of them to let it affect their work.

If there's been other instances of it then I'd be refusing to give my all. Fuck em.

If it goes in late it could affect direct debits, so it's out of order.

As people still seem to be associating this with chrstmas.

The usual paydate is the 25th then.

And under any circumstances, if that date fell on a weekend you wouldbe paid the friday before. But the firm is telling you it will be early january when you get your money.

So snowy is right. Obviously one or two seem to have enough money to not be bothered. Most would miss a mortgage payment.

So would you give 100% then?

Now that you've changed the goalposts, no I wouldn't give 100%, but I am a stroppy bugger at the best of times.

In view of the non payment of wages labour would be withdrawn, irrespective of the time of year

I rarely give 100% at the best of times but if I knew I wasn't being paid I'd be jumping ship pretty quick.

Companies who can't pay wages are rarely able to fix the problem quickly.
