I would be very happy with a point and a good performance. A win would make it a very nice journey home!

A thoroughly deserved 0-2 away win that leaves the Yorkshire fans sticking their puddings up their arses in frustration. Amond and Hawkins on the score sheet with an effort from Mr Derwent scored during a naked pitch invasion disallowed. 513 Poolies with one arrested and then hurriedly covered in a blanket.

I shall at least be there Mr T but I can't guarantee any more than that!!!!!! At the moment it's wet and windy around here with tomorrow being forecast as bloody freezing and as the Keepmoat is the coldest ground in the kingdom........nudity is out of the question lol.
I think we'll sneak it by the odd goal. Bragging rights would be really welcome.

1-3 with Toto grabbing a brace of headers and Allesandra hitting a goal of the season contender.

I can't see us getting anything from this one. We might be able to keep the damage down to 2-1.

Wonder how many times Amond is going to hit the woodwork this season. Didn't that happen against Notts County, we hit post (Amond) and they went up other end and scored??

FFS another late goal against us. Would have been a great result as well, it's a bit so near yet so far this season in terms of being a really competitive team.

Tried to sit back for the last 5 minutes with 3 Central Defenders - Failed miserably - So frustrating after a fantastic rearguard action for the previous 90!

Was there any need to bring Jones on? I thought we were coping fine.

Mind you we are not as bad as Exeter, winning 2-1 with a few mins to go and lost 3-2.

I sincerely hope Jones wasn't brought on for any other reason....couldn't understand it either...hard to grasp from radio but we seemed to coping rather well at the time.

I'd love to know how many goals we concede with Jones on the pitch

I agree, if Jones was not going to start the game due to lack of match fitness, why bring him on late on at the end of the game when it looked like we would get a well earned point!
Different story if we were 2 or 3 nil up but not right at the end of the game when our defence had held solid for nearly all of the 2nd half.
Really fancied we would get something from the game, gutted now!

By the way I am not blaming Jones, but Hignett has to explain the change of tactics with only a few minutes to go. If it ain't broke......!

We are crap without Thomas. No ideas no way to retain the ball. Richards beyond terrible again must be someone at the club better than him.

We have no wide players to play this formation but no player to play any other formation.

There was a lot worse than Richards out there today. The boy did ok.

We have to accept Doncaster were very good, yeah we sat off them a little to much but they used the ball very well.

We are not crap without Thomas, we lost many games with him in the side, we are always going to miss him as he's a good player.

Don't know what game you were watching there was width, with the 2 full backs.

Could this season be any more frustrating?

How many points are we going to spunk up the wall from decent positions??

The bottom line is, they were better than us and deserved to win. They were quicker than us in possession and closed us down really well even in our half and we didn't have the quality to cope. Go backwards under pressure then back to Carson for him to launch it, usually back to them.

Even when positionally we were sound, they just drew the nearest man in and played triangles around us to make the space. Good players who can handle being in possession under a bit of pressure.

We were never in the game and never looked like causing them any problems and yet I come away gutted we couldn't hold on for a point. You just have to accept the better team won in some games.

Richards had a bit of a shocker. Didn't do a great deal right. I think he curled our last gasp corner into touch before it came back into play. Summed up his day really.

Would've been interesting to see how the game would've panned out had Paynter come on sooner. Within seconds he won a free kick that never was (tucked his left arm around the back of the centre half which when they both ended up in a heep looked like the defender had fouled him because he was on the blind side of the ref - clever bloke) and the ref gave everything. Paynter also won a couple of headers managing to find a Pools shirt with the nod on too. Probably wouldn't have made much difference to be honest but we'll never know.

And for the record, there aren't many players who boil my piss but John Marquis is one of them. Whinging, cheating twat. Can't stand the monkey headed wanker.

I'm afraid I couldn't watch that week in and week out, even though we could have won that game.
Amond had a gilt edged chance at 0-0 but hit the post, then Donny went straight to the other end and scored. Instead of scoring Donny should have been kicking off again after going one down.
Then we get a penalty which would have been 2-0 to us.
In the second have we had a smart, slick passing phase culminating in Almond scooping the ball straight into the Donny keeper's midriff. Would and should have been 3-0 to us.
I don't think Donny were that good, in fact I thought they were poor and there for the taking ( certainly didn't look like a team challenging for the league champions crown) but chances have to be taken.
As for defending we were totally unable to prevent the ball being continually crossed into our box.
Our fullbacks never, at any stage, got the better of their wide men and subsequently that was a major contribution to our downfall.
We had a draw in the bag going into the last few minutes and, in my opinion, that was thrown away by an unbelievable decision by Hignett to bring Jones on.
I don't agree with our continuous insistence of playing from the back and creating nerve tingling situations. Featherstone lost or gave the ball away on at least six occasions by trying to taken on people in our final third. The Donny players simply crowded him out and he just hasn't the guile to profit from drawing players in.
We have no one in the team at present who can put their foot on the ball and control the game.
If Donny had been on their game we would have been murdered but they were nearly as bad as us at giving the ball away.
It would appear that we have established a knack at snatching defeat from the jaws of getting something out of the game and today was no exception I'm afraid.
A long way to go and a lot to do, Mr Hignett et al.
