Assuming that no-one on here gives a toss about the result (except Dibble) what about the crowd?

According to the ever reliable ITMC, Pools' previous lowest attendance for a cup game was in the Football League trophy in 1982 - 655 against Bradford City in the Football League Trophy.

Surely that record will be smashed tomorrow night? Who's going to turn up to freeze their bits off for 90 minutes for a dead rubber in a discredited competition?

323 (300 £5 concessions)

This. In spades.    stpid

Can you imagine going to a game like this and actually celebrating a goal?

You must be a few matches short of a full box if you do. banghead

There is literally no point in this game whatsoever, we are already out of the joke of a competition and its going to be 2 reserve teams play eachother in the freezing cold. I had a quick look on the Rochdale forum and it seems they actually give a shit about the competition. stpid

I'd be happy as fuck if there's less than a hundred

Any more than that and I hope that they all get the collective shits when we have a proper good game so that they all miss it.

It's a competition where every team should be taking the piss, the farce of a penalty shoot out for 1 point? Both teams should purposely boot them near the corner flag for 20 minutes.

Under 400, the cold will keep them away, rather go and watch the reserves in Leeds.

That was a friendly surely that doesn't count? it was a horrible night weather wise like. We had less for one of the games in that farcical centenary tournament I'm sure (500 odd rings a bell) as well.

For a first team supposed competitive fixture surely this will be the lowest. I think the current one is Colchester in the 80's which was 700 something??

Colchester was 804.

CSKA Moscow was 671, but like I said in that embarrassing centenary tournament we got 880 against Sunderland on the Saturday then they didn't even officially announce the attendance the day after for the game against Huddersfield but I remember reading at the time it was around 500. They are all friendlies though so I reckon the Colchester game is the one to 'beat'.

Away fans wise, I reckon exeter etc. have had less than 5 here. Hard one to guess as the numbers weren't officially recorded seperately until recently.

Pretty sure when we played Torquay in the late 80s I counted three away fans in the Town End Corner.

I remember that tournament. I was one of, I think, about 80 in the Town End on the second day.

I can't get excited or irritated by people who go or don't go.
I wouldn't go personally, even if I lived next door but if someone else wants to go then that's up to them.
It seems to be a growing trend that, if someone does the opposite to some people then they've got to be called names.
What ever happened to freedom of choice???
We're all wearing poppies this week in memory and respect of the brave lads and lasses who gave their lives to give us that choice.
I have total abhorrence for this daft trophy and it's format and regulations but such abhorrence would never take me down the road of calling fellow Poolies.

Of course you have Mutters and I back your right to free speech as well as freedom of choice but the line has to be drawn somewhere.
Freedom of Choice or speech doesn't mean you can say or do exactly what you want.
I would never call you names for not going to Pools nor would I call you for going but that's just as I see it. It's not my right to do that in my opinion.

He isnt calling anyone for going to Pools. He is calling them for going to this particular game.

And thats because supporting this game is detrimental to pools, and there is a good chance that you are advocating the demise of the lower leagues.

That justifies complete critisism and disapproval.

That should be obvious to all.
