One thing I will say after watching that draw is that Graham Kelly has aged well.

Really cack draw though.

We are better away from home this season. We just might surprise them. I think we are better suited against better opposition.
Think positive.

I can't see it being moved for any sort of coverage it's hardly a mouth watering tie.

Maybe if Stoke are already at home?

They could market it as the post-industrial classico and cash in on the I Daniel Blake inspired interest in poverty. "Two towns were devastated by economic collapse but only one will make it to the third round and a money spinning tie at Old Trafford that could solve all their problems..."

Stoke are playing at home to Burnley on the Saturday at 3 O'Clock so it is going to moved you'd have thought.

I think I've been twice and seen us win twice! I wonder if the half built main stand ever got finished!

Played them twice in all cup competitions and there's room for some improvement...

1994 FA Cup Port Vale 6 - Pools 0
2014 EFL Cup Port Vale 6 - Pools 2

I had the daft idea that we'd played Port Vale a couple of times in quick succession in the League Cup - In The Mad Crowd put me right as usual.

We can do this, take 500 noisy types for max volume, hit them on the break and get to the next round and draw a biggy who gives us all the gate.

I been five times I think in total and we won all of them (including that 5-2 in the snow).

I'm going to swerve this one like, unless the tickets are seriously cheap.

I want paying in as well though. It's becoming an expensive day out now, as well as my eldest I'm taking two of my nephews to games now. Next year my youngest will be coming too.

It's a choice between the Donny game or this one, and Donny is already in the diary.

This has been moved to the Sunday, 3pm kick off. Bit odd as it's surely not an exciting game for anyone?

Fair enough, means we'll get almost live coverage of the goals at least.

Ticket prices not bad at £12 & £6. Should attract a few more if not on telly.

Have their fans got over that fixed game we had with Swindon yet?
