The two worst posters ever on this message board, Sussex at least made me smile a few times but essentially was as thick as mince, probably harmless though. The board is a far better place without monkeybutt, he was about as funny as a mass grave.

I will pass on your best wishes, I suppose if everybody liked everything the same it would be a boring place to be, to each their own, I am a retired cemetary worker so perhaps that is why me and Butt get on, he has a strange humour set to be fair but better that then warts on yer old man eh!

I'm sure Monkeybutt must have his good points, but there's something weird about being constantly asked to stop posting in a way that irritates almost everyone else and yet continuing to do it. I don't think 'just banter' explains it.

In the stupefied mind of the banter merchant any negative reaction to the stream of drivel is down to people being too easily offended and anybody who gets irritated has taken the bait. The possibility that they might be saying something genuinely offensive or really bugging people with their crap just doesn't occur to them. Anybody who objects to 'bantz' is PC gone mad, frigid, humourless, dull, a communist or too keen to start up the outrage bus on behalf of the disabled or diverse ethnic groups.

It's like a pub, where the boorish twats get told to shut up, yet still slaver on until they get hoyed out and barred.

I didn't have a problem with some of Butt's patter, but I can see why people did. The disability thing is unforgivable though.

Very diplomatic ...... But someone once described diplomacy as talking quietly but carrying a big stick. Well, the big stick's been used.

You just don't respect the will of democracy and free speech Mr Toulouse. It's the right of people in Great Britain to say what they want however offensive and anyone who says different is a lily livered liberal do gooder

Free speech?

Like the woman behind the brexit high court ruling?

She has done nothing wrong but had received numerous death threats and sexual abuse.

And someone with the same name in america has received the same.

There are some dumb c unts about.

I've been away too long. I'd completely forgotten how fundamental the unrestricted liberty to offend, humiliate and intimidate is to the greatest democracy on earth.

To be fair, Toulouse is in fact a bit of a lily-livered liberal do-gooder.

But he's probably right that serial banterers just have delusions about their own wit and sophistication, and total arrogance regarding their right to smother other people's opinions.

Its staggering isnt it?

yet peferctly sane people are also saying the government should just get on with it, because thats the will of the people.

Get on with what exactly? And how?

Oh hang on, none of that was explained, by either side, durng the farce, was it?

And now we have Corbyn hinting that he would block the triggering of article 50. Well thats all very good sir, but where were you during the debate? Ah yes, you hid away, to avoid upsetiing one side or the other. Little weasel.

And we have angry middle aged blokes like those two on Question time from Hartlepool the other week, looking like they wanted to kill someone. Such was their outrage that we still havent got our country back.

And what has happened to Boris? He is now nicely out of the way with a ministerial job.

But at least that cretin Farage is back, spitting vitriol all over the place.

Its great to be British.

I'm still convinced that Sussex was a Poolie 'in drag'. Amazed at how many bites he used to get. Don't really miss him though.

I object to that very strongly Grabec. Given the hammering it has taken over the years my liver deserves to be described as robust at the very least. Something like 'iron-livered liberal do-gooder' would be fairer.
