It can't be official unless it's on Twitter!

I really didn't see this coming to be honest.

This random Qatari based Brazilian i thought had always been Morecambe through and through and had dreamt of owning the club all of his life. I never envisaged it lasting this lon... sorry ending so quickly.

I suppose you'll be telling me January move for Neymar is off now as well?

On a semi serious note; The fit and proper persons test, what is the fucking point?

I wonder if Morecambe have a section fans telling others to stop making up rumours and that maybe he hasn't just fucked off he might have gone on holiday and forgot to take his phone for five weeks.

You sure this isn't just an effort to sell Trust memberships?

The tentacles of The Trust spread far, their corruption to pollute the minds of Pools fans on the fence knows no bounds. I've had loads of people come up to me to tell me this

Nah, Morecambe Bay won't flood, been past there loads of times and only seen it in once.... I think nearly everyone in the town has been given a dose of Biffo gas and now think the club is destined for great things and stuff like that etc, etc. So there.

At least this shows just how good the FA's fit and proper person test is in relation to new owners of football clubs.

Glad we have nothing to be even remotely concerned about.

Nothing to worry about..... It'll be a footy rose garden at the Vic, everything in the garden is blooming and it's just so good it's unbelievable. I'm soooooooooooooo excited I'm taking tranquillisers to just stop me shaking with the thrill of it all....I've even paid the deposit on my 98th floor penthouse in Mill House Towers and seen all the artists impressions n stuff, especially the stunning view of the Odeon pigeon refuge and rat sanctuary.
Mind you, I'm not a full shilling like.

Meanwhile, Notts County are 99% of the way to a new owner but it's going to cost him £5 million and there's a transfer embargo in place because they still owe £350,000 to HMRC.

Top photograph of Morecambe's never-gonna-be-saviours here:

Morecambe were already deep in the financial clarts when Brazilian 'former football agent" and pie lover Lemnos took them over, so they really are looking for a miracle now.

Looking for the positives Gary, Pools won't be able to use off field problems as any sort of excuse when they play Morecambe next week!

Them two could easily be Little Britain characters.

If they're looking to invest in a club with the potential to build a hotel, houses and a Gregg's theme park in the surrounding area I'll give them Gary's Twitter details.

Respect to the Morecambe board for that statement - they are trying to communicate but clearly have their hands tied.

Be nice to see something similar 'closer to home'.

I'm actually shocked that the Club (Pools that is) haven't come out and made a statement of some description. The Chairman has broken his previous record for non-tweeting (4 days today) and there's been nothing on the official site, Facebook page or Twitter feed.

Needless to say The Mail and The Northern Echo haven't batted an eyelid either.

Maybe the compelling hard and factual evidence presented online in the last few days that HUFC has massive financial problems isn't enough.

I've a very queasy feeling, and it's not just the Camembert.

The point about the Fail and the Echo is important - yes, they have few proper journos these days, and those that they have often take the easy route of regurgitating PR pieces...........but, there could be a big, big, regional story about to unfold under their reddened noses..............so why the blind eye?

The Mail is basically a mouthpiece for the council. Where is all the investigative journalism into the alleged corruption, lying, unfit company directorships of councillors and stifling of democracy that is taking place within the walls of the civic centre? I think they are genuinely afraid of the public they are supposed to represent.
Some concerned independents trying to get answers always get short shrift due to the rules that the untouchables play by

Wonder if anyone working for a national paper, say the Daily Mail, would be interested in making a name for themselves by delving into lower league football club ownership.

If a few fans on a board can expose some worrying things about one club in their spare time imagine what someone could do looking at it full time.

Andrew Jennings, an elderly Journo, did a cracking job investigating FIFA that was made into a BBC documentary. He did so well none of the FIFA hierarchy would talk to him and he assisted the CIA with their investigation I believe.

I just hope this happens soon.

Or we could all do what the other Pools social media sites are doing and pretending none of this happening, and everything in the garden is rosy.

I blame the trust. The bastard.

I really HOPE we don't go down the same path as Morecambe.

Same path....? I get the uneasy feeling we're steaming down the slip road on to the motorway, never mind the path.

There's more than just Craig Hope at the national papers with links to the town.

David Conn of The Guardian has done a number of articles on off-field football issues through different league levels
