We need a no nonsense hard as nails defender, in the mould of Paul Dalton

Things not been the same since we sacked Dave Hodgson as manager.

Wrong - it's since we moved away from the Reynolds Arena. We need an excellent crosser of the ball like Marco Gabbiadini.

I'm starting to wonder if it's time to bring back wing wizard Stevie Howard.

You mock like its a joke.

But from my memory we ACTUALLY did play Howard in midfield.

The jokes on us surely?

Shows how good our scouts were when he was signed as a midfielder! I can only remember him as a fat forward who tried but achieved little in his first spell and in his second spell only managed the latter. He provided cover in defence a few times as well as Graeme Lee did when playing up front.

Yeah im glad our scouts have stopped highlighting players from the Tow Laws of the world with the ability to go and score goals in the Championship etc. Especially when we only get £120,000 out of it.

I used to like the fact that he took corners sometimes too.

He was a forward thinking visionary. In his day wingers or full backs took corners. Stevie H paved the way for modern forwards like Kane and Rooney to have the confidence to take em.
