Poolies,

Had an interview with Gary Coxall before the game yesterday - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2016/an- ... ry-coxall/

He said there could be 4,000 different opinions on the game - presumably not on that 2nd half performance! He clearly has plenty of charisma and ambition, though how concrete his plans for the club are, I'm not so sure.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

I wonder if it would read the same if the interview had been after the game?

Possibly not. Not sure all the fans would share his views on Hignett, heard a few calling for him to go at the game.

Hignett is young and learning, I think sticking with him will pay off but management does look to have taken its toll on him.

Sorry but for me he was a cheap option.
(Some)fans favourite so Coxall want to keep fans happy by appointing him.
No experience as a manager.
Out of work - so cheap and available.
Bankrupt - allegedly
Had just broken up with his wife - allegedly
Had been done by the police for speeding - allegedly

I know, he's the perfect candidate for HUFC. No need to speak to anyone else lets just get him in.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, but that's how I see it.

What the fuck has half of that bollocks got to do with ability to do the job!? Cheap option? Who did you want us to appoint? He has all the credentials to be the manager. He's done ok, he's made some mistakes granted but he's bound to. Yesterday was a bad day yes but we're not a lost cause and Hignett could still turn out to be a good manager at this club

Have to remember certain posters only come on when we lose PJ. We're a league two club, we either have to take a chance on a young manager, opt for a dinosaur similar to Ronnie Moore or break the bank for a Danny Wilson type. Coxall evidently wants to try a sensible patient approach but he's proven in the past he can be ruthless if needed.

Do you think if these three things happened to you, it wouldn`t affect you in any way, you could just push them aside and do your job and carry on regardless?

It's called life, everybody has other issues to deal with but still go work and do the job they are payed to do.

Do you think it he hooked Amond yesterday because he got caught going a bit fast on the A19.

Utter nonsense.

He hooked Amond because he is deluded and thinks Paynter still has something to offer, maybe a scouse allegiance scenario.

That's right, that's why he's signed Cilla Black and Jimmy Tarbuck.

Stan Boardman on trial I've heard

Isn't some of the reaction so far an over reaction? I know we've drawn 5 of our 7 home games but with a bit of luck/ruthlessness/less naivety should have seen a few of those games out for wins. A team in development with a manager trying to cut his teeth and change the way the team plays. Hugely frustrating for the fans I know in terms of results but taking a step back we seem stronger and more able to compete in games than we have for a while?
