....Nobel Prize for Literature.

Good for him. But Leonard C is better, I think

Ah yes, but the prize is for literature, not singing, Elvis. Besides, I like his voice.

Before he started singing, Cohen wrote Beautiful Losers, which is considered a dead good story in Canada like.
It won the Canadian Literature Society’s prize for the best book by Leonard Cohen.

And Roy Harper is way better than Minnesota Bob.

I must have read that book 40 years ago and the scene of the woman at the bottom of the lift shaft still comes back to haunt me, in unguarded moments.

He'd also published a book of pomes by the time he was 22.

You're right about his gob iron playing, it's sounds like it's played by a drunken baboon...and he stole most of his tunes on his first few albums from British folk songs that Martin Carthy taught him...and his singing. :shhh:

Saying that he's probably one of my favourite musical artistes.

In fact, that is one of those "when did you stop beating your wife" questions innit. It's insinuating he can actually play the thing.

Love the film he was in (Roy Harper that is)!...Made with Carol White. Of its time, but some good stuff and pretty realistic footie crowd scenes

Can't "sing", but then neither can a lot of rock and roll greats. Average guitarist and nowt special on the harmonica. Lyrically, a genius without a doubt.
