Good programme on itv4 last night about the breakaway premier league in 1992.

Makes you really hate the greedy bastards who engineered it.

That it was a very good watch. I particularly enjoyed the scene of Lee Chapman, Cantona, David Batty and somebody else sat on Chapmans couch reacting when they found out they won the league. They were all sat with cups of tea and barely smiled.

That was surreal. The opposite of Leicester's reaction last season.

Playing for Leeds United has never been a laughing matter!

Back in Don Revie's day team bonding was a nice game of carpet bowls or bingo.

The transition time. We were watching not the birth of the Premier League but the death throes of the old First Division. Football is just a money generator, a milk cow and ft's being squeezed remorselessly till the 'milk' is coming out of every orifice.

turned into a glorified celebrity television show especially when the internations are on us. various non football fans suddenly become experts as if they go to a game every week. made many people rich and invented the prawn sandwich.
