Does anyone else think this has gone to ratshit recently? It used to be very accurate, but for the last few months it has predicted the opposite of what has really happened on a regular basis.

I can't think who to blame for this, so Michael Gove will do.

You're spot on with that. If the weather forecast is too European Gove steps in and has it changed to proper British weather. He is also planning a legion of weather cadets who will learn real British values by going out in the rain a lot without moaning.

To be fair to the BBC, every single weather site I've visited has been inaccurate for about a year now. And I'm not talking about long-term forecasts but the 12-hour ones.
I think the reason is meterologists have pretended to invent something that doesn't actually exist.

I don't mind as long as it comes from this weather forecaster.

Is that a map of the Arabian desert I can see behind her?

Seriously, noticed the same thing about BBC national forecasts this summer - wrong for North East England day after day. I came to the conclusion that what they actually give is forecasts for Belfast, Edinburgh and London - and we're not particularly close to any of those cities.

Most of the national wether outlook is for the South East, anywhere north of Northampton is the North and civilisation ends as does accurate weather forecasting.
Use the regional forecast...... Which gives us the weather for Geordie land. Anyway, look out the window when you get up and play it by ear.
