I was in the ASDA bread Aisle last night at about 9:30. Got one of them huge tiger bread things for 5p.

Nearly bought two, but I couldnt eat two in one go.

Probably not seen it, pop up blockers mean you dont get a notifcation. Think you can tell if they have read it or not by if it still appears in your sent items or something.

Weirdly, I have just finished reading a book called 'No-one Writes to the Colonel'. I'll skim though it again to see if it has any footballing clues as to why this sort of thing happens.......

Colombian, so I suppose a bit Spanish. Only the most unfeeling and unsympathetic of readers would fail to reach the end.

It's about a war veteran who has waited 19 years for his pension to come, and who forlornly waits every week for the post launch to arrive at the little harbour. Only to be disappointed yet again. Meanwhile he is living in extreme poverty and has to live on cut-price tiger bread from his local supermarket. None of youse care half enough about the Colonel.

The most poignant part of the book for me was when the authorities suddenly turned up at his hovel, in the early hours of the morning, and confiscated all of his fine collection of wooden spoons.

Yes, that bit was very moving, derwent. The authorities did leave him with the fighting cock, though, that he kept tied to the leg of his bed. I expect we'll be hearing from the fighting cock any time now..........
