Fancy us to get something from the game.

1-1. Heardman or Fewster from the bench (depending on which of them gets on). 73 fans.

If only it worked like that, I'd be dead skinny after trading in all that beer and Pools would be riding high in the Premier League.

It doesn't though so I'm going for 2-1 to Plymouth with Carson man of the match.

On paper its a home banker but it just feels like one of those games were we really should get beat but its never that simple with us. Similar feeling when we went away to Sheff Utd and Howard I think someone got a winner.

Changed my mind. Toulouse just beat PSG 2-0 so why shouldn't Pools improve the weekend further by sneaking a 1-2 win? Outrageously undeserved according to Plymouth fans and Carson MoM but who cares who deserved to win?

If we were losing we would be bottom 3...

I don't think my nerves can stand this.

Come on Pools.

Just working off the commentary, sounds like he made a reasonable attempt to clear the ball and their lad put his head in.

Based on my view from home I can't say whether he was unlucky or made a mistake... is any ones house closer than mine who can't see better?

When it becomes obvious the ref is being a twat you need to calm down and don't give him an excuse. Pissing about kicking the ball away or arguing with him won't help matters.

Sounds like he's completely lost it. Have to stay calm enough to hang on, this would have been an excellent point before kick off.

What was Harrison thinking? A stupid second yellow. Not sure about the penalty, I suppose the ref may have seen it as dangerous play? The goal was great mind.

I wonder what drugs the Plymouth manager is on?

"I think when you try and put you foot up that high, and Jimmy Spencer is going to head it towards goal, then it's going to be a penalty"

"You can't be on the wrong side of defender, turn your body round and try to swivel and kick it when your foot is six foot high in the air, in front of someone's face, it's a stonewall penalty"

Is he trying to break the World record for how much shite someone can talk in two paragraphs? Wrong side of the defender?? Eh? His foot was 'six foot' in the air, he crouched as he turned to clear it and the Plymouth player crouched as he threw himself to the floor. He must be some athlete if he can hook a ball clear with his foot six foot in the air. They got the penalty he should be just happy with that, why talk that much shit? If it was given the other way do you reckon he'd be saying the same thing? Stonewall penalty? Shut up you complete tool.

If you'd have asked the Plymouth fans before the match who their favourite referee was the answer would be Gavin Ward.

Throughout the years they've benefitted from controversial decisions by him.

He once called off a game when Barnsley went 4-1 up against Plymouth, despite giving no indication he was concerned about the pitch.

In 2009, Plymouth fans even set up their own Facebook page for him named "Gavin Ward is God"

Nuff said.
