Is there a worse player in the Premier League than him at the moment?

He seemed to be improving start of the season, admittedly judging purely on highlights, but watching him against Watford he's playing worse than anything I've ever seen at the Vic!

Wonder if he really doesn't like Mourinho as Jose's just carried on doing what got him the sack at Chelsea in blaming everyone but himself.

Regardless, I'm glad Wayne's still captain of England and a guaranteed starter. That along with U23 teams in the Checkatrade makes me hopeful for the future of our international team.

There arent that have his reputation or on his wages.

In other words he is the most over rated plauer in england.

Its utterly baffling how us england captain and even more so that he is guaranteed a start.

Seems like its the same at manure.

There are better players than him in every position he is tried.........tried to feathered in.

A truly great player in his prime. Sadly that seems to be firmly in the past. The news story posted above pretty much gets it spot on

He's played over 40 games a season since 2002. Ran through a brick wall and through injuries, it's bound to take its toll.

He's not what he once was and it looks like his role in both the England team and man united team is now based purely on reputation and the fact he's captain.

Played forty games a season, so fucking what, that's what he is a paid to do

He's a spud, a vastly, overrated one at that, like Gerrard

Ask yourself this, if was world class, a team in Spain would have bought him ten years ago

England don't produce world class players anymore, they produce workhorses, players who can be shoehorned in anywhere, but when it comes to the push are quiet honestly cack and prefer to fuck old aged pensioners

Cheers.....

Aye I must have got it wrong, his constant piss poor performances for Ingurland have been a joy to watch, he ripped Iceland apart not four months ago, he reminded me of Paul Gascoigne in Italia '90

ooh me fucking ribs. Come on then, name me one match for England, and not one against teams made up of part timers and the like, where the granny fucker did the business, cause I couldn't give a tuppeny fuck about how he plays in the premiership, the organisation that has given a spunk trumpet like Danny Mills a platform to re-organise the game we all know and love

I cant fathom those on here making excuses for Rooney, or even trying to imply that somehow he was once a world star.

He was a very a good club player, for a while, and looked like he was going to be world class in 2004.

But that was it.

I remember one world cup where he was put up as one of the poster boys, alongside Messi, Ronaldo etc.

He looked like a fat fan, who had won a competition to have his photo taken with them.

A hugely over-rated player, who bizarrely, is being more over-rated now than ever.

Also dont get the antaganism towards what Talbot has written here. He has it spot on.

sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

He is England captain.

The England manager has stated that he is so good that he can play where he likes.

Sky sports this morning, still going on like he is a magician, and that it would be wrong to drop him.

All the media still talk about him saying that England need him.

Some conversations in the media questioning whether it would be better for him if all his teams built their teams around him.

But you are right.

Nobody rates him.

Rooney will retire as all time top scorer for man utd and England and also England's most capped player.

He's won most domestic cups and played a very important part in them all.

He's never really hit the heights for England as he did for Man Utd, but at his peak would easily have got in any club team in the world.

Sorry, but most of what you have written there just sums up everything that is wrong with football in this country.

You are correct he will end up with all of those records.

All it does though is devalue those records to the point of being pointless.

When exactly was his peak by the way?

The comment that he would have got in any club team in the world is relevent when exactly? You name the year, and lets see if I can find better players in any team the same year.

Like I said earlier, at his so called peak, he was the psoter boy for the world cup, yet just looked a fat retard.

He had more chances than almost any player in history to prove himself on the biggest stage, and he fucked it every time. And now he is becoming a joke.

He has followed in the foot steps of those other hugely ove rated players Beckham, Gerrard and Lampard.

Dibble dont you usually whinge that people only judge Humphreys by the awful last couple of years of his career here rather than the first few years?

He's flown though his career. People will argue over how high he flew. He's coming in to land now.

Crash landing more like!

He's a victim of his own agent's ability. He was a cracking young player with a terrible temper who's game has changed beyond recognition, which is as down to bad management as anything else. He's like a guard dog that has been neutered and left next to useless.
Think back to when he was banging in goals like his volley against Newcastle, I couldn't imagine him even thinking of attempting something like that now.

So anyway.

Rooney gets dropped and suddenly Man Utd play with purpose and pace. And win.

Hopefully fat faced allardyce was watching and takes heed.

It does goes Mourinho a problem though, which wil be very funny to view. Does he bring Rooney back in now,and what happens if they then lose and play shite?

Just goes to show that it might be better to just lance the problem totally.
