We must have won our last game!

How about naming favourite holiday destinations? Now monkeybutts gone he can't troll us saying Wales is nice!

My personal favourite was Thailand, not a fan of Bangkok but elsewhere is so varied like the beaches down south or the more remote areas further north you'd struggle to be bored there.

The Greek Islands apart from Bloody Kefalonia! Italy nice too, haven't been to Spain for years, so cant comment.. Personally like the quieter places, good local culture, food and hospitality.

As for further abroad, I recommend Mexico!

Love Prague, Rome was nice but tiring, absolutely loved Tunisia but unfortunately won't be returning anytime soon, going back to Barcelona in march to see some of what we missed last time.
Also love Tenerife and Gran Canaria, Lanzarote not so much.

All of South East Asia is pretty amazing holiday wise to be fair. I love Bangkok, one of my favourite cities in the World especially at night. I haven't been anywhere in Asia I haven't loved India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Vietnam are places I'd love to visit again. I also say Thailand is the best holiday destination in the World, you could go in any company and get whatever you want from the experience. I don't know if it's still the same but I went to Vietnam 8 years ago and that was almost comically cheap. 11p for a beer as an example, three course meal with about four bottles of beer in the most fancy restaurant in Nha Trang came to about a fiver  Including accommodation (which was fine ignoring the nightly power cut) I think we spent about £200 each in nearly two weeks!

Quite timely actually I'm off on holiday in a few hours, quite different to my previous travels from my younger days like now we have kids, Es Cana in Ibiza. Looking forward to it a lot to be fair. Looking forward until they are both old enough to appreciate Florida though I'll be more excited than them when we can take them to experience that.

So taking that into account I reckon it will be about 15 years until I can we revisit some of those places I mentioned, but it's strange how you also revisit the holidays your parents took you on because I went to Ibiza and Florida as a kid.

only ever been to Paris and Majorca. Alcudia is a lovely place, going again next summer even though my ginger skin will be fried in minutes

I went to Alcudia as a kid, can you still walk out into the water for about three miles before it gets deep!?

Best place I've been to is Norway, but it is properly expensive. Would love to go back but would need to remortgage.

I love places in Britain - Cornwall, Oban, Skye, the Lakes etc.

I have watched that Man Vs Food show very enviously in the past. Will be on the agenda when the kids are old enough to appreciate how much Disney Land costs!

South Africa, particularly around the Cape. Went this time last year going again in February. Safaris are unbelievable as are the coastal routes. Exchange rate enables you to splash out. Great value for money

Europe-wise, I've been all over and loved pretty much all of it. Only a few places I'd be reluctant to go back to for a variety of reasons, Bratislava and Vienna springing to mind. One of my favourite places in the world is Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina, it's an absolute gem and full of history. Sarajevo is a great city too.

In the wider world, visited many of the places PJ talked about in Asia and had some fantastic times. Living in Africa now, I'd have to say Zanzibar is unbeatable. White sands, turquoise sea and the beer is as cheap as chips. It's a $200 flight away from me and I try and go every few months. Culturally it's very mixed, taking a bit from both Africa and Oman (which is also an amazing place).

Saying that, I have a love affair for Spain and I still think you can't beat it. I took my missus, who is half-British/half-Omani, for her first ever time this year and she loved it. We did the resort holiday and then had a few nights in the city of Murcia to finish. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Ticked off my 38th country earlier this year. Never fancied a Turkish beach holiday but did a city break to Istanbul which was well worth it. Not sure I'd go back now though!

Oman is still developing and hopefully it doesn't copy UAE, particularly Dubai, too much.
The Omani's are pretty relaxed and generally friendly to westerners, which isnt always the case in that part of the world. Would like to go back in a few years to see how it's changed.

Yeah, me too. Still feels very traditional and I hope it hangs on to that. I was lucky enough to stay with a mate of a mate who is from Jarrow who'd lived there for a lot of years, and he was a great host who showed me parts of Muscat I'd never have visited if I'd have been on my own.

Croatia about 3 years after the chew finished. Beautiful place with wonderful people and cheap at the time, but you'd have to sell a kidney now to go and do what we did back then. Always fancied Thailand because it's cheap. A very good mate of mine goes for a month or so every year and swears by it, but my missus is too scared to go.

Was over there last week, the phone couldn't get a signal all week, Brilliant. Great food and sat on a warm night outside watching a brilliant thunder storm....and only two hours away.

Good shout. I went to Croatia with a lass that I was with at the time whose mam was from what is now Slovenia, and grandad from what is now Croatia. She used to go every year to visit family in various parts of what used to be just Yugoslavia, even whilst the war was on, which was very brief in the south west of the region.

Apart from us and about a dozen other British couples, when we went to Porec in Croatia the rest of the tourists were German/Austrian. It was outrageously cheap, the people were mega friendly, the scenery was beautiful and you would never imagine they had endured a proper war just a few years previously. Also hosted the most amazing lightning I've ever seen. Hours of it, properly lighting up everything for miles.

Done Thailand a few times.
A long journey but worth it when u get there.
Probably the most chilled out nation in the world.
Would recomend the Bridge over the River Quai Day trip from Bangkok.

Enjoyed weekends at Barnard Castle caravan site in me younger days.

And the weekend trips to watch Pools in Devon.
Always a good piss up.
:obscene-tolietpush:

But u cant beat watching Pools not win again in the winter riddled with frostbite!
