Just read they have donated £200,000 to the Bradley Lowery fund after tonight's match which he was mascot at.

Pretty amazing gesture that fair play.

That's not all, they've invited the family down for the return fixture and are auctioning tonight's signed shirts and all monies raised will be given to the fund, pretty amazing gesture if you ask me.

Incredible, they have always been club with a lot of class about them the way they have stood with Liverpool about Hillsborough as an example but this is above and beyond. Football gets a lot of negative publicity but this actually makes you feel good about the game.

Also a nice touch from Sunderland tonight, as if they'd not invited him to be mascot it probably wouldnt have come about, the crowd singing his name on 5 minutes was great too.

Yes good stuff all round, the awareness raised with him being mascot on TV will have helped raise a lot of cash as well.

Unfortunately a better touch than many of the Sunderland players though, God they are woeful. Not that matters it's all just a game compared to hand that little lad has been dealt in life.
