 Post subject: train ticket prices

On my way for a day out in Whitstable and was told at the ticket office this morning the price for 2 tickets was £53. Now I was expecting £44 and so queried it. The guy then checked and indeed it was £44. No apology, just a nonchalant 'next'.

Forgetting the poor manners for a second but I wonder how much passengers get ripped off by train companies banghead
