I don't get this ex-manager love-in thing with Pools. Why on earth would Ronnie Moore be more passionate about Pools than say Rotherham or Tranmere with whom he spent donkey's years. Why does Neale Cooper love Hartlepool to bits. Even Mike Newell whom nobody except Meatloaf liked has a soft spot for us.

If he's appointed, it would tell me that GC wants a yes man, an ambassador type figure who has no input into the day to day running of the club.
