save UK sport.

The welch bottled it, and now its up to Andy.

Yes, the whole of british sport now needs Andy Murray to save us all.

Forget the rise of the Englsih Cricket team, The Rugger Union team being No 2 in world.

Anthony Joshua, Lewis Hamilton and everyone else.

Its all down to Andy to save us.

Come on Tim.

Murray is a fully paid up professional Scotsman, married an English lass and lives in Surrey.

Anyhow, I like him, and it might be another 50 years till 'we' have a tennis player in the World Top 3 again, so come on Andrew, old chap!

Never really understood some people's dislike for Andy Murray. He's a completely non-offensive, extremely professional and superb sportsman who will go down in history.

I know a few people were irked about that joke a few years ago when he said he would be supporting whoever played against England (paraphrasing slightly). Only an idiot would use that as a stick to beat him with, it was just a joke.

Only in this country would a sizeable proportion of people dislike a world class sportsman because he made a joke.

Anyway, I think he'll win it. Djokovic is on another level to anyone, but after that Murray is top of the pile and he'll be devastated if he doesn't go all the way and win it now.

He also wanted Scotland to leave the UK - the racist wazzock.

I think you mean, he wanted Scotland to move away from racist Ingurland.

And who can blame him?

Anyway, you have some questions to answer. Take your time.

I know 99% of your posts are whimsical (at least I hope they are) but I'll still bother to point out that Murray chooses to live in racist Ingurland.

As was Mark Carney. I thought he'd be snowed under managing this 'financial crisis' the UK is going through

We once spent a week in a truly delightful location in Fife. We stayed bed and breakfast and every morning over breakfast the owner would give us a lecture on the evils of the English.
We didn't bite, but on leaving the owner expressed his impatience at a visit that was imminent from the tourist board. We merely pointed out that you never know who's visiting you and smiled, he made the wrong assumption and that last breakfast before departure was lecture free.
We don't have the monopoly on pig ignorance.

There are English twaats and Scottish twaats. And the there are loads of really nice, good people of both nationalities.

Having spent loads of time in Scotland for work and pleasure I have never had any chew about being English other than usual banter that they get straight back.
