They both make sense it terms of attracting a better crowd, playing on a New Years Eve would have been a bit of a mare.

Speaking for myself, night games a fookin nightmare.

I'd convinced the missus that spending the New Year in Hartlepool was our best option.....followed by a day out in Accrington a couple of days later. Those plans now on decidedly shaky ground.

Same here, Friday's would not be good at all. They are rubbish anyway and you always feel like you are missing out on the Saturday.

Just checked the England fixtures. Playing Slovakia on 4th September a Sunday then a Sat fixture on 8th Oct. Every possibility the Oct one changes as nobody will want to miss that will they. :roll:

the October game doesnt kick off until 5pm so wont affect gate that much
