Italy are so well organised. They know their strengths and weaknesses.
Is it me or does Iniesta look scared of the Italian defenders? He's not a patch on other times I've seen him.

The play acting on fouls is a different level with these two, I hope the ref keeps booking the shirt pullers and feigners :naughty:

De Gea has kept Spain in it despite his fumble gifting Italy the goal.
Can't see Spain improving second half either, so little creativity from the most creative team.

I said after the first game Spain lack something upfront. I havent changed that view. Iniesta gets tha ball and there just isnt any movement. He is looking for Messi, Suarez and Neymaer, but he gets Nollito, Morata, and Silva.

Must be tough going to play international football for a team far weaker than your club.

Thought the law had been changed to yellow if it's in the box and red if it's outside?

The Spain way of playing, basically without a target man, has been great to watch for last 10-15 years, but seems to have passed its sell by date, as often happens in football, opposition learn to counteract it. Spain have struggled over last few years to replicate it's previous success, possibly due to not having as a team as previously, thought Puyol was a key player for them and their system. Still getting the results, but not in as convincing fashion.

Germany have it spot on at the moment, with the best mix of the way Spain and Italy play.
