Following an appeal to the Independant appeals process, Northern Parking Services have been forced to cancel the ticket.

Their claim was based on prima facie, which they use at the Cinema car park for all tickets.

They think that this is enough for them to issue a ticket.

Following the appeal they were told they didnt have any evidence to prove that the person given the ticket didnt use the facilities on site. Its not enough, in court, to think the person didnt use the facilities. They have to prove it.

Now unless they video you for the full time you park there whilst going off site, and not using the facilities, I suggest anyone that gets a ticket there, basically tells them to do one, and tell them to take you to court.

They cannot prove their case. All they do is photograph your car and show an ariel map of the car park. The photograph is utterly pointless as its a free car park. How daft must they be?

They are waiting in the car park for people to park there and walk off site. So even if you park there to go to the cimena, but decide to walk across to asda to get drinks etc, you will get a ticket.

You are then left to try and prove you used the facilities, which just takes up your time.

One of these cases needs to go to court so a judge can properly get stuck into them for this practice.

Unless someone sues them for wasting their time, they will continue to harrass people.

Anyway, dont pay the c unts. they cannot win.

Fear is their main weapon. They threaten with increased charges if not paid in a certain time. Key word there is charge, it's not a fine as they are not authorised to issue fines as they are neither the police or council parking enforcement.

Take a picture of the person issuing your ticket and ask them to pay you and if they don't tell them the amount increases after a week. See if they pay!

Trouble with these things is that the implied prospect of weeks being threatened with legal action and the prospect of its inevitable cost will cause most people to reluctantly pay up.

They are pure bullies and nothing else. As for the bloke who dishes out the tickets, I hope one of those fish with backward pointing spines swims right up his cock end.
