See from the League Two review on the OS that Morecambe posted a loss of almost £830,000 in 2014/15, and another £400,000 the year before.

It doesn't look great for them going forward - they're up for sale, but who is going to take on losses of that scale on average home attendances under 2,000?

I assume HUFC's 2014/15 accounts are lost for all eternity in Ken's Black Hole, but it will be interesting, to put it mildly, to see what financial reality looks like later this year when JPNG file Pools' 2015/16 accounts.

Which they are going to do, obviously. Being a new broom an all that.

Buying Morecambe doesn't sound like a very wise move.

You talk like Janet Street Porter
You dance like Morecambe and Wise
Your clothes are all made by Primark
'Cos nobody else does your size, no they don't...
