I'm glad Middlesbrough got promotion on Saturday, and that Sunderland are nearly safe, for a few reasons -

- we want their fans to see Pools as their second team and spend some cash watching us, so the least we can do is not begrudge them a bit of good news.

- both clubs have players we might want on loan in the future, and have loaned us a few decent ones in the past.

- most think that with Boro in the Premier League, the chances of re-signing Adam Jackson have increased.

- I haven't forgiven Brighton's fans for moaning like a bunch of canutes when we had the nerve to beat them in their promotion season from League One.

- the Barcodes are going down; they hardly ever lend us a player and when they do they're garbage!

I think most of the football supporting population are happy with Sunderland staying up due to the arrogance of Newcastle fans. I feel for the genuine mags having to endure Mike Ashley but there's plenty twats who ruin the reputation of what was a lot of people's '2nd team' when they were known as the entertainers.

I have a friendly dislike of Boro, mainly due to working with plenty of their miserable fans(miserable without exception) over the years but don't begrudge them promotion. As much as I love to see them fail each year, I know how that feels from supporting Pools. A year of mega money and big name signings will only force their youngsters further down the pecking order and out on loan and we'll hopefully benefit from one or two.
