As far as I can remember the last time we did that was away to Wrexham under Cooper about 12 years ago! Cracking performance today,Nathan Thomas was unplayable and the rest were fantastic as well. Next season could be good!!!

Peterborough 5-3 the season we pissed promotion under Danny Wilson, I am expecting us to score 4 on Tuesday because I think we did the game after at Grimsby.

I reckon we scored 5 away the season after as well at Lincoln in the paint pot

Barker was subbed after a couple of minutes due to the daft rules and Joel bagged a hat trick as a sub.

Weird game that, I got there late and we were 2 down, then Joel came on and we completely pissed all over them.

The game after Grimsby we won 2-1 at Stockport Eifion and Gabbiadini scored.

A few seasons apart that was the game after we snuck past Grimsby 8-1.

It's just registered in my head what you meant. Porter scored a great goal in that game at Grimsby

Still our last away league hat trick

Paul dalton, what a player. It was midweek game and I'm sure we played away at Maidstone the following Saturday when we scored another 4 away from home. I'll check your site.

Edit. There was a Home match between but still 9 goals in 2 consecutive away games. Makes Notts county tomorrow tempting

I'm a big fan of Painter but if I was a defender I'd rather play against him with Thomas and James than Thomas, James and Gray. 3 very quick players constantly buzzing around you and knowing full well they could get behind you at any point.

Imagine centre midfield also more solid with Woods there for Gray too.

Nice to k ow we have options without Painter.

January 27th 2004, working in Paris at the time and listening to updates on me wireless. Port Vale 2 Pools 5, a certain Sam Collins and Billy Paynter played for the opposition

Great game that, although Vale were well on top until Collins was sent off. I haven't seen many games turn round likenthat after a dismissal.
