I'm working in Manchester for 3 weeks in May.

Anyone on here know where is decent to eat on a night, good boozers, comedy nights etc...

Where abouts in Manchester are you staying?

Good boozers everywhere and some great places to eat but can be very pricey. Spinningfields is a good place for drinks. A bit arty-farty some of them though (Alchemist).

There is the Sinclairs for cheap cheap beer right next to the printworks. Printworks has food places and a Bierkeller for all your sporting needs :) Few dodgy places in there too... you'll spot them a mile off though. Also, right outside of the printworks is a gents club called Victorias or something like that, always been too battered to see the sign on the way in..... bbolt

Wetherspoons is cheap for food and beer.

Last time I was in Manchester we wen't to a place called the A1 (I think or something like it) Chinese Buffet which was very good. I think it was near a Wetherspoons in the City Centre ish. Also I seem to remember the Chinese Buffet place was downstairs.

Bishop, that A1, it's not a restaurant, pet. It's a motorway. Heaven knows what you were eating from the 'buffet'. Hedgehogs? Nettle soup?

Canal Street, which constantly has the 'C' obscured.

Watch out for the Manchester Canal Pusher.

Think that you are confusing the A1 with the M1 there Ms Grabec

Never tried it but Nettle Soup is supposed to be rather tasty. Had Hedgehog crisps (showing my age a bit) but never Hedgehog. However amazingly, I know if you ever cook a Hedgehog cover it in mud before you cook it. That way when cooked you pull the mud off and the prickly bits come off with it. :character-chef:

Oh, fine. So it's all right to let the Bishop eat hedgehogs and dead sparrows, just because the A1 isn't a motorway? It's because of people like you that the country's in the mess it is.

Counted 7 dead pheasants on the road to Carlisle, all male, could have had a feast of pheasant breast in a blackberry jus and confit potato, parsnip crisp and celeriac puree

If only they had jumped a bit higher.

They would perform better up front than Bingham, even as roadkill :teasing-tease:
