There are only 16 Pools players to have played over 300 games in all competitions. Can you name them. I'll start off with Andy Monkhouse. 15 to get. easy I know.

Did Gary Liddle or Michael Nelson ever make 300?

If not I'll take half a point for both put together.

You'd need to have been virtually ever-present for at least 6 seasons, which I think rules them both out. Deffo 300 between them though.

Sweeney 390 (53) kerching, Honour, 319 (26) kerching [also managed Bishops], Knobbs 280 (1) [also played for Bishops, but I can't remember that]. Alan Goad played Aussie Rules for Hawthorn from 1972 - 1982 played 138 (129)?????? Ken Johnson 384 (98) kerching.

Well done Mr PIN

Sorry your Lordship but both played the mid 200's. However Nelson did play for the Bishops so you can have a very generous half a point.

Houchen played more than that surely he was in the team from being a kid, I'm sure he's in our top ten appearances, only 170 starts? He played for at least three or four seasons at the end of his career as well.

Look Mr PJ its my ball and I'm taking it home, right now. 78-82 170 (65) then 93-96 109 (27). Right I made a slight mistake, I blame the Interwebby thing, which coz its my game, you are not allowed to use to find answers. You only get half a point for making me look silly!

I'm off to in the Mad Crowd to check up  !

Are you only counting starts? I reckon Keith Knobbs is over 300 as well.

This quiz is in disarray!!

Are your brackets goals or sub appearances?

Mr PJ of course the quiz is in dissarray, its my quiz and I am using the Interwebb. Brackets are for sub appearances (I think), well must be otherwise Flinders scored a goal I can't recall! Keith Knobbs played 280 (1) as mentioned earlier, but you may have half a point because he played for Bishop too (although I can't recall that either). This quizzing is getting too hard, in future I'll leave it to someone capable, who won't change the goalposts halfway through!

Are we near 16 yet? :confusion-confused: banghead

Even sorrier your Lordship, but after a recount it would appear Micky Nelson played for Spennymoor, you are now last with minus 25. My game , my rules.

Flinders did score a goal, against Bournemouth and Houchens brackets look like goals not appearances.

I will take no further part but Houchen (not in the top ten though like I thought) Knobbs and Nelson are all correct and as Chip said Rob McKinnon played exactly 300 so if you count him it's 18 and not 16. This is all according to MadJohns site.

Mr Bishop is no Magnus Magnusson FACT!!

If what you are saying is true and a FACT Mr PJ, then it would appear that the Interwebb can't be trusted as some people may put facts on that aren't facts at all! If you can't trust Wikipedia who can you trust? :angry-tappingfoot:

Well your question was 'played OVER 300 games' so on that basis McKInnon wouldn't count if he only played 300.

To be honest I don't think quizzes are for you. (3)

Bob, you've got a few incorrect. Please read the rules and regulations! Also other posts.

Also for everyone else I have a real Howdy Doody question for this Friday's quiz.

At least 4 of those are now generally hated by pools fans.

What a strange bunch we are.

Alan Goad
Kenny Johnson
Brian Honour
Micky Barron
Jackie Newton
Tommy McGuigan
Andy Monkhouse
Keith Nobbs
Frank Stamper
Roy Hogan
Keith Houchen

Thank you Mr MadJohn, I knew sort of in a disenfranchised sort of way I was correct!

Anyway next Fridays quiz is a real Pools Howdy Doody, with hopefully less dissorientation, and incompetence by the Quizmaster. Remember, no checking the Interweb (especially the accurate Wikipedia) its Brains only! Oh, and as PJ said the Quizmasters word is final.
