Just watched the latest one and it's a good watch for anyone with Pools Player. Feel good factor is returning and Craig/Curtis seem clued up with Curtis doing plenty of research before the game using scouting software for video playback.

I'm currently watching a previous one from Cambridge away in Jan when Moore/Collins were in charge, what a massive difference. They are on the training pitch and seem clueless, "Shall we do this today Ronnie?" "Yeah sounds good to me Sam" they then proceed to have a game of tig (Seriously). I have seen Sunday league players train more professionally.

Only way is up with our current set up! clappp

Some terrible underpants on display in the final scenes.

The worst since Joe Allon's the 1991 promotion video.

Think we called it tag.

But the chain version was known was chain tiggy. Well till it engulfed the full school yard and Miss Creighton banned it as every fucker was getting decked.

Haha, did you also hear that Creighton had a wooden boob and some lad walked in on her planing it?

Never heard that one, it sounds very plausible though from the old battle axe.

Did Mr Brown (a loid no less) run the footy team when you were there? I think he's a head master at another school in town now I think.

I actually can't remember his name but from memory he was fairly young and tall. I remember Mrs Palmer (who at the time seemed quite fit?) and Mr Short and that's about it.

And Bangers and Mash books, Roger Red Hat, the plastic footys for in the yard, 'painting' the nursery building walls with water(?) the sand pit with shit toy cars and the scruffy kid who used string as a belt. That's my memories of Jesmond Road tbh.

Coxhall is like a kid in a sweet shop.

I just hope there is some sound investment in the playing squad in the Summer.

Keeping gray, James and Jackson for starters

As I've said before on the bunker the best primary school is St Teresa's and secondary is Martyrs. That is a fact that cannot be argued with.

I went to Grange and Manor and the amount of news stories I have heard about ex school mates shows the people who went there. Not to add one of them burnt down Grange and one stole the Camerons wagon and went around the town on police camera action, some of my mates here think that my ex schools sound like some form of borstal

My year in primary school only ever played 5 footy matches against other schools, we lost 4 and won 1 - against St Teresa's

I played in goal against St Teresa's. Fumbled one comfortably over the line, pushed it out and the referee didn't give it.

We won 1-0.

I went to watch Pools at Feethams back in the late 70's I think it was. I ended up stood next to one of the 2 the kids who had burnt down the mobile classrooms at Tunstall. He was on a trip from that borstal in Barnard Castle and hadn't had to pay to get in to the game.

Kingsley and Brierton for me.

Fucking Brierton. Characterised by regular fights, bullying, sexual assaults, smoking, drinking and taking drugs in full view, absenteeism, and a completely anarchic attitude. And that was just the teachers.

Highlights for me were the teacher who got stopped leaving Holland with a suitcase full of child porn, a lad who wasn't allowed to go to the toilet during a lesson, so simply dropped his kecks and shat on the classroom floor, the lass who stole a teacher's car keys out of his desk drawer and hoyed them out of the window to her boyfriend who twocked the car and burned it out, and the school trips full of arrests for shoplifting.

Apart from me and Poolie Imp I don't think there's anyone else on here that went there.

Always noticed that Catlicks are over-represented on here, obviously brought up to have more 'faith' in things like Pools.

I went to Fucking Brierton - although I left in 1969. It was pretty grim - I can always remember "Chalky" Morgan (who seemed about 95 but was probably early sixties) walking between the desks with drooping strings of phlegm hanging across the back of his jacket.

I went to Dykey, circa 1991. I've got a load of mates who went to Brierton. Always scrated me head when they said it was worse than Dykey, but nowt like that happened!!!

My Mrs went to brierton and she turned out ok, so that makes 2 of you Mr Pin

I was Lister Street/Eldon Grove then onto Tunstall, they weren't too bad schools but they sound like excellent schools going by some of the stories on here though

Yeah, remember sitting in a supermarket cafe and kenny talking to an empty baby seat in a trolley as if there was a baby in it and the staff looking at him as if he'd been let out on day release.

Like you Lynnfield and the Grammar. Ralph Dollin, an absolute gentleman, took the footy teams at Lynnie.
Generally at the Grammar unless you were from Elwick Road or Jessie and had a middle class address you were dismissed as being unimportant. Eric Pidd though was a brilliant teacher and human being... as was Jimmy Douglas who had played for Pools.
