Not sure how no manager/coach has seen your ability up until now (okay, I grinds me to say but chip was banging on how we never lost when he was in the team a year or so back :uhoh: ).

Get the lad signed on a longer contract

I just don't get it though, to think the lad has been around the first team for the last what 2/3 years and yet no one has given him a run. Christ, Ronnie Moore sent him to fooking spennymoor banghead

I imagine it done him a lot of good to be honest.

Your probably right but considering how shit we have been for the past few (8......) years, I just think it's odd why he wasn't given more of a chance.

When Hawkins scored his first from what seemed like our half, me and the bairn were jumping about like mad - 'What a beauty!' I shouted, to which the bairn replied 'It's a miracle'! Felt like it to be honest after the last few years.

Probably. There's a bloke sits behind me in the Millhouse slags him and Carroll off every time they play, regardless of how they are actually playing.

A lot of people who go to games in fairness have no real idea what it is they are actually watching.

There was a bloke in the Millhouse terracing who shouted 'fuck off, fucking shite' when Hawkins got man of the match against Derby.

Hawkins is an ex-Pools Scholarship kid. I've seen him play in the Spenny' side on two separate lone periods with him playing mainly centre- mid not out wide where Pools have used him sometimes. He did well under Jason Ainsley at Spenny who seemed to get the best out of him & gave him some confidence. He's played a few more for Spenny than Chip suggests . Wiki is wrong Chip- but agreeing with Chip that Hawkins has something about him. He needs to step it up though -early 20s & only a dozen or so Pools appearances. Hopefully Higgy & Fleming can get the best out of him & build on the confidence that was coming together at Spenny.

I think I have been championing this lad for a while( check my posts), I like him and he offers more than what we have, hope this confidence pushes him on further, unless Wolves were watching and want him on trial for a week
