Here's my opening this thread hoping you were announcing that you were facing a lengthy prison sentence without Internet access.

Damn, it's just you shouting again.

Sad to see people on a Pools board who take such pleasure in gloating about us being shit. You might be right that we're shit but you don't have to enjoy it even if being proved right gives you your first erection of 2016.

But I would never ever say we are down until we are. We still control our fate. Get behind the lads and hope for the best!!!

Just because you don't post hysterical, shouty and childish rants on the Internet doesn't mean you aren't realistic. It gets a bit boring reading the same shite over and over again from an attention seeking t roll. When he isn't shouting about us losing he's making shit up.

This time last year we were dead men walking

4 wins later and we pulled clear, leaving Cheltenham and Tranmere in the shit

The season isn't over, there are still 12 games left

York and Dagenham are still below us - and we have 2 / 3 games in hand

We've shipped Moore out and have a guy that by all accounts is turning pools into a decent playing team.

We held Northampton at the weekend and we should've won

Plenty to be positive about so lets keep looking forwards.

The fat lady may be warming up her vocals - but she certainly isn't singing yet.

There has been numerous posts about these players being better than the league table suggests.

I am looking at our goal difference now compared to eveyone else.

That tells me everyone was wrong.

It just seems very grim to me.

Yet most still seem positive.

after following Pools for 25 years, there have been darker days than this

If we go down, we still have a club, that nearly wasn't the case back in the early 90's, the winding up order under Gibson - pools hours from closure

4 games from relegation until Chris Turner stepped in

11 points from safety last season

reasons to be cheerful

You have to try to be positive though don't you? I'm getting increasingly worried and it is certainly starting to look grim but until tonight we seemed to be showing signs of improvement.

Really bad result tonight to be fair it's hard to stay upbeat after that type of surrender. With a new manager and a good performance on Saturday they are 3-0 down after 38 minutes? Soft as shite.

We desperately need a couple of leaders. A Gary Strodder/Mirfin signing would be a start.

You do worry about this being the year looking at the fixtures, the way we are going it's going to happen sooner rather than later.

What else can you do though Mr Colonel?

You have a choice. Wallow in your own crapulence or look for something, regardless of how small, to cling to that gives a bit of hope.

I had a bit of a moan to the lad tonight and it's tiring watching/listening to us getting beat and/or spanked but I still have to believe that we have enough about us to stay up and accept that it will go to the wire again.

We now have a manager who (tonight excepted) has so far managed to make us look half decent playing 442 whereas when Mr Moore employed the same tactics we were awful. This has to be a good thing doesn't it? Hignett has the same players playing better.

I don't enjoy worrying about relegation and what that would mean for the club in the long term and given where we are it's difficult not to, but we aren't down yet and there are a fair few other teams around us who are also pooing themselves. We have a new gaffer who has us looking like we can score on a fairly regular basis and in his short time here made us look better on the whole than we did previously.

Can it not be better to play those towards the top of the table when they are crapping it just as much as those at the bottom than a relaxed team with nothing to play for?

Can work both ways.

It can work both ways but we are right back to the scenario where as soon we concede the first goal it's game over.

If the manager still doesn't think he needs to brings some loan players in then we are knackered this time.

I don't agree Mr Pools. Take the Notts Co game. 2-0 down and looking like a long night. We actually turned our performance around and had Paynter finished that chance to put us 3-2 up I honestly think we'd have gone on to win it. There was only one team in the game for the second half.

I think it's hard to say re: loan players. No guarantee they'll improve what we have and I'm thinking it's maybe a bit late in the day to chance our arm on a new player(s). I think/hope we have enough to stay up with who we have.

If there is a strong defensive midfield player available we'd be daft not to sign him.

Don't think our playing staff are close to as good as people believe them to be. A 0-0 with Northampton is a good result but like Jack Compton, why can't the vast majority of them string more than one good performance to another.

We probably had a game plan tonight. These 'uncoached' players then found themselves 3-0 down in 38 minutes. Game plan out the window. Embarrassing at any level.

Need points and fast otherwise the games will run out and we'll get finished off by Oxford, Portsmouth and Plymouth on the final day.

By no means down and I am still hopeful but problem is that there are teams that will comfortably do a job on us away from home in this league.

We're absolutely desperate in midfield for a bit of bite. We have been all season I can't believe it's not been addressed. I'd look at an experienced centre back as well. Did I read the other week that Rob Jones had left Doncaster? He's probably about 36 and I'm not sure when he last played but that type of player. We have more away games left then home so we need a tougher spine in these games or we have no chance.

Just look at the goals. Been well and truly rolled over there.

How is that the same team as last week?

Some of that defending is appalling, what has happened to Scott Harrison? You aren't going to beat anyone defending like that.

Interesting I obviously don't know what else he did in the game but new whipping boy Brad Walker hit the bar with a superb effort, made the goal with a brilliant pass and hit the post with a brilliant effort.

I heard the summary on the radio and have read what some Rovers fans said on facebook and both said we were a threat going forward and probably should have had more than the one but every time they had the ball they looked like scoring. Having watched the goals the defending is appalling; I was going to say its like kids football but its more basic than that.

We lose possession in dangerous areas, don't stop crosses and don't mark up in the middle which can surely only be communication. How a player who has already scored 2 is allowed to walk in between the centre backs for an unchallenged header is a joke.

Hopefully Bates is back Saturday to add a bit of experience and a voice at the back. Magnay isn't a young lad but hasn't got much league experience and hasn't looked the same player since his injury.

I know the highlights(?) are brief but I didn't see anything remotely resembling a tackle. Magnay seemed to be playing in a different time zone and as for that bloke pretending to be Scott Harrison - words fail me.
