Northampton have only pre-sold 250 tickets for tomorrow, granted more will probably turn up on the day but reverse the situation and their current run and we would have almost sold that out already?

We should top 4,000 then tomorrow we generally get 3,500-3,700 home fans for a Saturday game which is pretty decent given how shite we've been for a long time.

I reckon 4,175 with a piss poor 414 from Northampton who will go home gutted at getting beat by 'shite like Hartlepool'

We took just over 200 to there place I believe. They took about 450 to York on Tuesday so I don't see why so few have sold for here. I had a look in there message board and people were talking about such a long journey, its one of our closer teams which is dreadful but still

More people are always going to go to York it's a major Rail hub for one, and it's a nice City that's absolutely stowed out with pubs. Let's be honest we take big numbers to York because it's a good day out. We are viewed as miles away in the Frozen North an almost unaccessable outpost.

I know had we won 10 games in a row we'd have loads going to down to Northampton. Sadly those days are a distant memory at the moment!

Don't people look at maps any more? On a decent run Northampton to Pools can be door to door in three hours. That's nowt for people who live in the south.

Which door? Not the ticket office as it's never open and that door is actually painted on a wall. Obviously not the transfer window either as not even Google maps has located that.

Sixfields is TWO miles from the M1, so it's dual carriageway all the way to within a quarter of a mile of both grounds. Realistically it wouldn't be much more convenient by road if they built a new motorway direct from Sixfields to the Vic.

We though have aways travelled in numbers by road because we've had to. The public transport infrastructure in the North East is arciac. To be honest it's pretty disgraceful. I think if you asked your average Southern based fan who has ever tried to use public transport to get here they'd probably tell us that we are not far from Inverness or we might as well be. It's probably easier to get to Inverness from the South of England.

It's no excuse like as were the country fails rail wise we do have a perfectly decent road network these days as you say on a good day I reckon you could do Northampton in under three hours breaking the law a bit, but for the reasons stated we seem to be a one away fans miss. Our average attendance have been massively skewed over the years because of this compared to clubs like York. Even all the North West based clubs like Rochdale (1,700 at Spotland the other night in League against Fleetwood, yes Fleetwood 58 miles away) and Bury have massively distorted average attendances due to away support. The talk has always been about us needing a bigger away end. Parts of the ground require modernisation plus and extra revenue streams need exploring via better non match income streams but in any proposed new stand extra away seats would probably be used a couple of times a year at most, God forbid if we got relegated hardly ever.

Have you tried driving on the M1? It's a wide car park.

The grand central link is a god send, especially if you can get booked up early but as has been mentioned, the local transport network is a disgrace. Getting the train to boro or Newcastle is like stepping back in time.

I reckon they will top 800 today. Piss poor if they don't.

I would go A14 the a1, a19 as I always try to avoid the M1 like the plague. It's 190 miles from my house to Hartlepool and never had a problematic all on a1 that normally have on m1 or indeed m11 near Cambridge both of which are a nightmare.
