I'm not sure how a lad who has scored once in something like two year can then play with possibly the worst midfield in the country and get goals. Until we get a midfield we are in serious trouble.

This is good news. His endeavor alone will be most welcome

I know the circumstances surrounding his departure weren't admirable but I do hope everyone gets behind him. He's obviously made the choice to come back here and play Football and maybe make amends for what happened.

At least we have a striker capable of winning a header now.

It seems odd to be saying that Luke James is a gamble. Just before he left he was if my memory serves me correctly, he was just about carrying the team he was in with his goals and work rate, well, definitely from the season before anyway.

If we can get that Luke James, it's a great move, if we get the one who's in and out of the team and not scoring goals, it's not really going to help, we have a couple of those strikers already.

At the end of the day the club tried to shaft him I cant see many people who wont get behind him. When your 4th bottom of the league were taking a bit of a gamble in hoping he gets some sort of form back.

Welcome back Luke.
Now we need a right sided winger as good as Thomas on the left.

i hope its not a signing which sees us revert to 442...because we all know how that goes with the players we have available.

if he is to play, i'd say in place of oates and thomas on the other side

everyone knows if you go 442 tho it's an attacking move surely? i mean it doesn't matter if we never touch the ball to create anything as long as we have 2 up top

Welcome back Luke! Definitely worth the gamble.

Don't know where you will play or who will play alongside you, but then again, neither does the manager. Either way, hope you make yourself a Poolie hero again.

I think Moore is trying to sign any player who is available never known a pools Manager sign so many players.
Whats worrying for me its another forward for Ronnies fetish of 442 hope im wrong and he sticks to 451 for Saturday if he doesnt i can see him dropping Gray and Woods and having a Midfield of Feather and Magnay which will seal another heavy defeat (Hope im Wrong)

(As I was reading down this thread I thought about posting this anyway - it's not a reply to demented twig.)

It's always pissed me off in recent years when different managers have bleated about Pools being bullied. My stock response is, "Well no-one bullied Little Brian." ... and similarly no-one bullied Luke James.
Let's hope he's still got the same attitude and he'll give defenders a harder time than we're used to seeing.

Many of us were pleased when Bingham signed, but he just needs to be taken out of the firing line ( no pun intended) for now.

When Hignett departed to the Boro so did Luke James goals, Moore doesn't know him and considering his record since leaving Pools he is taking a risk, probably signed him from recommendations within the club. Let's hope he can restart his career again and pull us out the s***
