Is he giving any clues as to who?

Anyone asked if he has the letter 'e' in his name etc?

My guess would be Luke James.

Either him or Ched Evens.

No clues who, second bid for one player and a fresh bid for a "new" player, although an item on eBay sounds more realistic.

What happened to this giving the new owners a chance thing that was mentioned after the Trust launch by the way?

Most of the business in January seems to be done on the last day or two for whatever reason, shouldn't we at least wait until the window shuts?

It was hardly last minute was it when he went!?

We pandered to Darrahs massive ego and let him announce it live on the Telly, the deal had been done much earlier in the day. It suited both parties that it was announced late!

Most of the deals go through on the last day in January for whatever reason, generally down to clubs trying to hold out for a better price or to line up a replacement. I don't think we had any intention of replacing him hence them allowing the Peterborough chairman to announce it where and when he wanted to. I remember hearing James had his medical on the morning it was announced at about 10PM.

Has it ever occurred to you ( and I know this is a long shot ) that most of the regulars posting on here do so without being entirely, deadly, serious all of the time ?

Pools inability to sign players ( and the multitude of lame excuses given for not being able to do it ) has become something of a standing joke so its only natural for people to take the piss. Historically its what we do. We have a laugh. Because if you took it totally seriously all the time given the shite we have to watch most of the time, you would end up suicidal.

If players come in that's great, if they dont then at least we can take the piss out of Green and Coxhall for the next 3 months.

Oh, and for a team a handful of points away from the Conference ( again ) I think most of the regulars on here have been remarkably patient. Even Coxhall himself said as much.

You are joking!, he keeps saying to me that I don`t get the humour on the board :?

i can't believe people are still expecting an influx of signings because it doesn't close till monday is it?

we've lost mandron (albeit maybe not paying anything for his wages) and naismith went back and signed thomas who was a bit part player at mansfield who was out of contract at end of the season and another bench player from bristol rovers.....hardly endorsing of what was said is it and just matches same pattern as under IOR

See Chip, some people are being serious.

I'm not expecting anything I'm just going to wait and see.

To be fair even though it was only £15,000 we did pay a fee for the lad from Mansfield.

We paid 15000 for a player getting released in the summer? Is that right? Or is it just guess work?

He also said somewhere that it wasn't wages as to why they wouldn't come.

It might be the case that money isn't the issue and that we've done everything in our powers but with what we've became use to over the past few years its no surprise fans are sceptical.

On the dunfermeline message board their chief executive said no bids had gone in for any of their players. This was at a fans meeting just last night and they wouldn't be selling any players.

I mean it's strange really as I'm sure our ex players and managers of recent years have been getting the message out there about how respectfully and professionally they have been treated by the club in terms of honor and keeping to their word etc.

We should have players knocking the door down to join us

If we cant sign permanent players now when new owners are here and after a decent cup run payout we really are in bother.

I shit thee not.

I think Porter and Boyd would look shite in front of any four of our midfielders. Don't understand his thinking that if we get two good strikers in we'll be a good side. I'd rather have no striker brought in and a Tshbola type made the priority this window.

This. Not bad players but a shit combination that can't win a battle for control oif midfield. Obvious to me and I live about a thousand miles away and get to a couple of matches a season. Some people must have pickled onions for eyes and pickled eggs for bollocks.

Is that a geniune quote?

If so I'm in the Moore out brigade officially.

He officially has pickled onions for eyes if he thinks we can play 4-4-2 with our midfield.

He didn't think our midfield was good enough at the end of last season so he signed tish, this season he thinks that same midfield is good enough. Forget the partnership up front, the link up play last week with Woods and Gray was fantastic at times and carved them open but presumably he couldn't see that.

You could have Messi and Suarez up front it wouldn't make a lot of difference if you constantly get over run in midfield.

How can he not see that just about every time he's played 4-4-2 the strikers have barely seen the ball in dangerous areas because we've been on the back foot?

As a fully paid up member I am glorying in the Mooresque "how can I get in a dig at some of my players, how can i undermine the already fragile confidence of Fenwick and or Bingham with one sentence? Oh hang on write this down Roy, If we have two decent strikers then why just play with one up top? We might go 4-4-2 when we get the striking partnership right up there." Which translates too "Shame they are both fucking shyte so i just play with one of the useless tossers just so we can keep the score down"

Tell you what, that Paul Tisdale can learn a thing or two today about how to get the best out of your team from Ronnie

Yeah but Ronnie loves the one paced, inability to tackle or head a ball style protection that Featherstone brings to the team. As for them defence splitting passes and delicious crosses the midfield lads bring to the party.

Clearly all the useless strikers fault we are where we are, I mean only last week Bingham didn't tackle the lad who was 20 yards away from him with his elastic legs in the split second he had to cover that ground which allowed the lad to play an unerringly accurate ball which unluckily bypassed all of our back 4 and fell on a plate for their striker. Bloody useless strikers

Maybe he always has a bet on pools getting turned over each week or for us to lose without scoring so fucks up the strikers confidence in the papers midweek.
I suppose with Ronnie's history it makes sense no potential signings have been spotted in Throston Bookies.

I don't. I think he says these things because that's the way he thinks. Or doesn't think.

It's not just about football, it's his mind-set. Remember the remarks about people who work in Asda (who as everyone knows must be of very low IQ and low capability, otherwise they wouldn't work there, would they??) or about footballers (who obviously are of very high IQ and high capability, because Rooney) 'letting' their wives do the shopping while they themselves concentrate on more important things.

Wish we still had Mick Wadsworth, I do. That's what an intelligent and capable bloke looks and sounds like.
