Or maybe it is just Sussex last week. Either way, it makes you want to buy some crimplene trousers that will not crease. Ever. Even when they're in landfill.

Aye, I don't expect anyone regrets the passing of those horrible fabrics.
I have to confess I once made myself a crimplene dress.....bought the material from a fabric shop in Church Square and made it up with a Butterick pattern. Not only did the dress not crease, it didn't bend either, so you couldn't sit down, ever.

Or a set of bri-nylon sheets and pillowcases. You can't beat static electricity as an aid to a good night's sleep.

Loving the 'tache and the cravat on the gadgie modelling the clothes. Like the ads you used to see for Marlborough and Johnny Walker in the, ahem, gentlemen's magazines. The quality end that is - Mayfair not Parade.

The cravat and tache combo was the sure sign of a whiskey guzzling porn king. With a very nice Capri or Reliant Scimitar parked outside.

Ah, the Scimitar GT - the aspirational man's Porche. Much nicer than a poxy Capri.

And made a company you could trust after they'd been knocking out The Robin for a while.

Yes, I think I can safely say that the end-products of my dress-making usually caused that sort of stir.

Thought this was going to be a thread about donkey jackets :(

Jason King may have been swathed from head to toe in itchy man-made fibres and in constant danger of spontaneous combustion, but he sure knew how to live!
