He always seemed a cracking lad when he was a player totally embraced the area and it's people, I'm sure he had weekly column in the Sunday Sun up until the point of his heart attack. Really sad news.

Been reading his weekly columns and watching him on itv Tyne tees on there local football programme lately. Really good character, good football knowledge. Far too young to go.
