I've had my Bet365 account for quite a few years now, probably 9 or 10 and use it regularly, only taking advantage of the 'risk free' bets as a nice bonus occasionally. Anyone who uses their account exclusively to make money from these offers will have them closed sooner or later, as I'm sure you know bookmaking is not the same game as it was 20 years ago, after working for an independent bookmaker for many years where we had to use our own judgement whether to keep dangerous bets or to hedge them (or part of them, which was not strictly legal), it came as a bit of a shock when for a while I worked for one of the major high street bookmakers where we had monitored customers ( one of which was a Pools player, and a very good one too ) we were also supposed to actively encourage bad punters and discourage winning ones. Got out of it when it became like a glorified amusement arcade open till all hours with cartoon racing and more machines than Seaton sea front. No surprise really if an account that's no use to them is closed.

Would be interested to know if this is the case with yourself or whether it was an account that was used for other bets too.

I got an email earlier this week saying I could no longer use the free bets. I only used to bet on the free in play bets, must have won about £500 over the last couple of years.

I wouldnt have thought I'd be in danger of having my account closed. I will deffo be in front with the over the last couple of years but I do make sure I do daft accumulators on NFL and footie which Im sure ticks the right boxes, and I also will go into the Arcade maybe once a month and make sure I lose maybe £10 or £15 doing lots of minimum wager roulette spins. A mate works for Betfred says that also ticks a lot of the right boxes with them.

The other thing I always try and do is make sure I have at least one long term ante post bet running with them which means they cant really close the account, just limit your stakes.

Did get an account closed with Corals last year when they were doing them promotional Connect card price boosts, but I was only ever using it when I was getting value.

Sounds like 365 having a sweep of winning accounts as seen on another forum couple of people moaning about either having the account closed or being told no longer eligible for offers and promotions.

I suppose it's no nicknamed Bet £3.65 for nothing, although I've had my 365 account for about 7 years now, with a very up and down history. Used to bet quite big before I had the kids, with varying degrees of fortune, but I've also had a lot of other accounts with different firms so it's been a bit watered down. I've only been fleecing 365 for the free bets lately mind you (to good effect) but I'm sure once my account goes back into the black they'll be onto it like a shot. I think Betfair are the only firm who let you bet whatever, whenever and however without restriction.
