As I'm into history I bought some old postcards from an antiques shop in Corbridge recently, all over 100 years old and relating to Hartlepool. Thought I'd share them with you...

This one postmarked Oct 7th 1910 is actually a painting of St.Hilda's...

you can get a copy of exactly the same prints in the Hartlepool museum at the historic Quay

Collecting postcards can be addictive ! There's loads of West Hartlepool stuff on ebay. Search for Hartlepool - Collectables - Postcards and hundreds will come up. A lot of daft prices, but some very reasonable ones too. :wink:
