What are they like?

Always like the look of them on tv but never tried them yet. Tempted tonight, it all depend on how well they cooked?

Just a big slice of fried potato. Makes a nice change from chips. My gran used to par-boil them before frying in dripping, absolutely lush!

My favourite seafood. Melt some butter in pan and fry for 1 min on each side. I like them with prawns and mussels in a stir fry or on top of black pudding as a starter.

Sounds good. is this from the Italian on the marina beginning with a b? Can't remember name but sounds similar and if so it was lush!!

Bolams sell big bags of King scallops for less than a tenner and good value in my eyes. If your a seafood fan I would guess you will like scallops

Not the shite sliced black pudding from supermarkets I hope?

You can get some lovely home made stuff if your prepared to look around, found a few in Leyburn, sliced thickly and warmed through with a pea puree and scallops on, drizzle with prawn oil, mmmm

Stornoway black pudding is the bollocks (probably literally). Seriously though, it is miles better than any other type I've had. No minging fat globules, but a good mix of oatmeal in there.

I'm not a fan of the stuff they churn out in Bury, it seems inferior quality to me. They're very good at marketing it though.

If you fancy a drive out, Simpson's in Cockfield is probably the best Black Pudding. Lawsons in Bishop is really good too!
