I can't remember if it was on here but I read somewhere people saying they weren't given stubs and I heard they'd 'ran out' of stubs at the Clarence road side of the town end so I'm not surprised pools are asking questions and you'd assume they have reasons for this.

I would suspect the operators are on minimum wage, easy to 'fiddle', you pay full price they tear two stubs off, making it a concession ticket, pocket the difference. I am surprised the club have only just realised this could be happening, it's up to them to change the system to stop it, possibly install cctv in the turnstiles.

I just checked my ticket from the game on Saturday and mine had both parts torn off. Cheeky fucker could of gave me half of the fiver.

I had my ticket taken off me because the turnstile operator ripped both stubs off and put me through as a concession and probably pocketed the difference.

I say fair play to the club for doing it, but they better not use stubs from last round as priority for Salford ticket sales

We didn't get stubs in the town end (Clarence road).
Hopefully they dont try to use a season ticket +stub system for salford away or there will be hell on.

You might get the odd dodgy turnstile operator at any football club but when this sort of thing is widespread you tend to look higher up. If 1,000 adults are put through as concessions somebody could have a bag with £5,000 in it to take home and hide under the bed.

Obviously this wouldn't happen at Pools as we have transparent and totally legit owners. Certainly not the types to be worried that the inland revenue might be sniffing around and decide to muddy the waters by putting something on the website suggesting the turnstile operators are at fault.

The circling on the tickets looks really professional.

MS Paint is probably the most advanced bit of software the club can afford.

Even on MS Paint you can use a circle tool. Very poor effort.

Well then staff the ticket office correctly and make people buy tickets in advance and just had them to the turnstile operator, that seems to be the norm at the away grounds I go to.

I've just drove past the ground and they are now operating an Adult turnstile and Children/OAP turnstile. I took a photo of the sign.

They closed half the gates down and put adults/concessions into one. When I were a lad it was separate and the gate was cashed up against the counter.

Had a discussion about this elsewhere and sounds like there's a fair few of us didn't get tickets at all when we handed over cash at the turnstile. I know I didn't. Not sure if the turnstiles record the number of folk going through them ( you would like to think so ) but might explain why a few folk thought there was more in the ground than the official announcement.

Be a nice earner for someone if they were pocketing the money, but seems a bit shitty of the club to tar everyone with the same brush. In the olden days there was an adult turnstile and a concessions turnstile. Remember as a lil kid my Grandad dumping me in the ( usually shorter ) kids queue and me then having to wait inside the ground for him to pop through the adult one.

When my lad was mascot a year or two ago, as part of the day, we went up to the box where all the security stuff and all that is and was told that it is 'impossible' for anyone to get it without it registering....doesn't stop those on turnstiles fiddling the adult/child cost but if they're right, they can't change the numbers.
