Returned from his cruciate injury today as a last minute sub in Peterbroughs 3-0 win at Burton after over a year out.

Full of adrenalin he promptly flew into a tackle and got sent off almost immediately

Good to see him back though.

First thing I would do is offer Peterborough a month loan for jack to get his match fitness back. Gotta be worse options than this surely

I'd say someone without a 3 game suspension would be a better option. Ability wise can't disagree though.

Good to see him back yes but the tackle was a potential career ended for the Burton player, never mind him. great player but we would be spitting feathers if it was a against a pools player.

Nothing malicious in it at all, the lads touch is poor inviting a tackle it's just mistimed from him. He only leads with one leg and it genuine attempt to get the ball. Modern day red card. The mistimed bit is probably understandable after a year out, it could have easily happened to a Pools player looking at that first touch, sign him up Ronnie!

It was his first competitive game for 371 days, you'd expect it to take a while to get back up to the speed of the game but he's a committed lad who liked a tackle so I'm not surprised he went for it. He was just late and high, if he had been playing regularly I don't think he'd of made that tackle or at least not been so late. Good to see him back anyway

Class player. Never adequately replaced hence our ongoing problems in defence.

We did have plenty of time to replace him though with the money we received for him so managers fault really

That million pounds we got for James and Baldwin could have paid for up to two agm's in hindsight which would have helped us get to the bottom of this sorry mess.
